Is accurate MIG-15 bombing possible?

Hi, I love the Mig 15. These last couple of weeks I've flown it extensively in the air to air role. To my dismay however I realised that when it comes to bombing targets I absolutely suck! :helpsmilie: Now, I am not an expert in dive bombing but I don't find it too hard to hit specific targets ( a tank for example ) with the P-51. With the Mig though its a no no. Are there any magic numbers? In terms of gunsight settings, altitude, speed etc? Do you have some tips or maybe a guide? Thank you in advance!

You are not alone .. I can bomb fine on other primitive-sight aircrafts like the C-101, but the MiG-15 is hard ... here, not one of my bombs dropped on target

Is this with the procedure outlined in the manual? I've never tried bombing with the MiG-15 and having a quick look the sighting references are quite interesting...

I used this procedure:

I used that, "bottom of the sight", technique and it worked quite well.

Thank you guys. This video finally solved my problems. I am still shit at it but I finally managed to score a precise hit on a btr 80. I found the altitude and speed parameters the most important. Of course using that bottom part of the glass is kinda tricky but overall I think that with enough grind its gonna be doable most of the time.

If i have to bomb on MiG 15 i use Vertical dive Ju87 Stuka style 🙂 I workes quite well.

Start on 1800m. Aproach your target so, that he slides alongside your canopy. Turn throttle off. When target hides under the wing start to roll. Engage pull to vertical dive exactly over target. Dive shall be about 80°. Place the crisshair under or on the targer. Just before drop pull gently to place a target on the bottom of crosshair circle. If you use zoom 75% as normal drop your bombs when you start to see details of the target (if you can say that it's a Vehicle or a Canon, or a Rocket launcher).

1. Keep a ball in the middle!

2. Don't use rudder to aim the crosshair on target
