I also preordered. One of few jets that are truly fascinating to me.

The mission variety alone is astounding. Everything from interception, escort, strike missions, CAS, CAP, SEAD, Anti-Shiping, etc. And on top of it a fighter with excellent manoeuvrability and a beautiful Bubble cannopy. AiM-9X and AiM120C.

It will be definitely an amazing Co-Op plane!

So just like the Hornet (minus the bubble canopy) ;)

Edit: Oh and our Viper won't have any dedicated anti-shipping capability, unlike our Hornet does.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

All that and Mehn, I love the aircraft carrier environment with the Hornet.

The Viper would be a great addition notwithstanding.

Well, friends, what about Wags' s last post?:thumbup:

Great stuff yet again from Wags. I really appreciate this look behind the scenes. The F-16 is coming together nicely and looks to have a great number of features and functionality at early access release. Keep up the great work ED!

I'm thinking two more weeks:)

Yep, my guess is October 16...so excited release is finally almost here!

I think this is where "DCS: WORLD" is really beginning to shine. The common core of the game allows much quicker implementation of systems from one Aircraft to the next because they don't have to reinvent the wheel every time.

Idk if this was asked already but are there 2 hardpoints missing in our upcoming F16?

I looked at all the screenshots and there are Always the two hardpoints missing where the F16 is usually carrying ist TGP.

Or is it just there when a store is added in the Station?

Not missing, that pylon isn’t installed if the HTS or TGP isn’t installed.
