Blackbird30 Posted February 19, 2020 Share Posted February 19, 2020 I noticed that trying to update from 2.5.5 to 2.5.6 my downloads seem to be limited to 0.9mb/s either torrent or http. I put this down to server load. I have just tried downloading the F5 Aggressor campaign and am getting the same speed. Is there a setting I can change to increase the speed or is it a server side issue? It isn't a problem my end I have 70mb/s connection and downloads from any other source are way faster. Mars Exulte Posted February 20, 2020 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Patch day is always slow. Something about "you're not the only one trying to do this" and it overloads the servers. When you use Steam, you get their global near-infinite servers. When you use the standalone you have to use ED's limited system and/or torrents. It's not that hard to overload them. Also this is far away from "fast" but I get ~ 150 MBit/s in average (it´s still slow compared to steam where I get ~550 MBit/s but it´s ok).
