Just a (very) minor update

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to drop in very quickly and update you on the Viggen. Unfortunately we're so stressed with the F-14 rollout that we've done a very poor job of keeping you in the loop despite ongoing work.

We're frustrated that we've missed our final RC patch projection window for the Viggen, but work continues and we hope to get there soonest. Once we nail down our exact list of new features & corrections for the RC1 patch, we'll let you know on exactly what we hope to achieve with this major patch.

Some of the items include longstanding additions like the new soundset and in cockpit-pilot, and others focus more on correcting bugs and errors.

Stay tuned for more info ASAP, and thank you for your patience, with a little more breathing room we'll deliver on the final missing pieces.

Thanks for letting us now.

It's understandable that Tomcat is keeping you busy - but nice to hear that Viggen is soon moving forwards too.

some more questions:

- what cockpit buttons and switches can we expect to still get animation?

- will the RAT be modelled or does it take too many resources?

- Will the BK-90 get his altitude programming back?

would love to hear an answer to these :)

@Cobra Way back when i think i recall you talking about Swedish ground units to go with the Viggen, is this still in the plans at all?

Any more liveries planned for the Viggen? It's pretty bare bones right now in terms of liveries and i again, think, i recall you mentioning aiming for about 20 liveries.

To have all three major air flotillas represented would be nice at least. F 6 Karlsborg and F 15 Söderhamn are currently missing. F 21 Luleå never actually operated AJ / AJS to my knowledge.

Any update on the AI J 35 Draken?

If i remember something wrong, i wouldn't be surprised. I'm going off years old memories right now.

Love the Viggen, hoping to see some finishing touches!

Don't post too often, but getting back into the Viggen and exploring stuff I never got to before

It's a terrific module, one of the VERY best IMHO, if a bit quirky in some respects.

Terrific work Cobra

My biggest gripe is the keybinds, I used Funky Franky's mod but a lot of it no longer works properly, the switches don't "set" and just revert back to their default state.

A minor one I'd appreciate is the cockpit lighting to be placed in the keybinds as I don't use the clickable pit so much, I find it a pain with TrackIR, God knows how the VR boys cope.

I cope with that by using the keyboard with my left hand as good and much as possible, but of course the number of keys and key-combinations I find blind is not as high as when using a normal computer monitor having the chance to look onto the keyboard.

True-ish, 1st division (Urban Röd) got their SF/SH version remodeled to AJSF/AJSH in 1996 and also F21 was part of SWAFRAP AJS 37 when that was active but a "true" AJS 37 was never active to my knowledge :)

I thought so too but for a very short time, they had regular AJS37s as well. Once F15 closed down and F10 switched to the JAS 39, all the specialised recce airframes went to F21.

Here are serials 37029, 37090, and 37075 during the 1990s and y2k.383ffdb49041903ea5626ead747edf0c.jpg
