HP G2 Reverb, Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate as standard. OpenXR user, Open XR tool kit disabled. Open XR was a massive upgrade for me.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), 0 X MSAA, 0 X SSAA. My real IPD is 64.5mm. Prescription VROptition lenses installed. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC at the mo. MT user  (2 - 5 fps gain). DCS run at 60Hz.

Vaicom user. Thrustmaster warthog user. MFG pedals with damper upgrade.... and what an upgrade! Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height with brail enhancements to ensure 100% button activation in VR.. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound.... you know when you are dropping into VRS with this bad boy.

Been like that for a while now. It’s a SteamVR thing, not WMR.

Not that it particularly matters, but I think you’re wrong there. Been 100% on SteamVR beta for a while now. Unless, it’s been in the WMR for Steam beta for a while now. Either way, this was not new in the latest WMR update.

Yes, already fixes in previous BETA versions of WMR of steam VR, where it already indicated the correct resolution, since the 23 October beta 1.0.641

You have to opt in to the beta in Steam. Find the Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR app (under Software I think) right click and select properties then go to the beta tab. Steam will keep it up to date.

where do I find drivers ? I use win10 ones

thanks

Delete the hmd reverb it in windows settings -> hardware and restart the pc.

The windows sees the reverb and begins the setup. (if not unplug and connect the reverb again and windows picks it up)

Hi everyone.

Just followed a guide posted on Yt :

At 5.42min there is something strange on my configuration (maybe it's nothing) but it shows on resolution 4320x2160.

Mine show : 2160x4320, is it normal ?

Here's a pics : https://ibb.co/GxgrP0r

Thanks for ur help :)

Mine shows 4320x2160... But my question for you is does it look OK in game?

G'Day folks

Can anyone point me in the right direction please for correct recording of DCS using while using the reverb.

I am familiar with Shadowplay but have been using OBS studio the last few years before I got my headset.

Id there a plugin or other software required for full res?

Thanks

Hi Stuartaston, thanks for ur reply.

It's difficult to say it's okay in the game. Comming from Cv1 i don't get that 'wow' effect as somes described here..

But everyone is reacting differently so hard to say...

At distance mine seems really blurry.. runway lines really look like stairs (aliaising i think?) :/

I use OBS. There is a steamvr plugin you should try out.

It allows you to record the SteamVR buffer rather then the DCS on screen window.

I just got hp reverb. ( upgrade from the vive ). It works great out of the box nearly 2200v2200 Rez, most things turned up in settings, smooth 60 FPS and this with pd set to 1.0. Head tracking is smooth. No complaints!

I think the many software updates really benefited HP Reverb, it's now just sharp at 1:1, less stuttering also, which wasn't quite like this not even 3 month ago.

Is anyone else experiencing the ridiculous flickering during loading in SP and jumping about when entering the pit in multiplayer?

It has got so disorienting for me recently I have to hold the HMD upright and navigate the menus using the mirrored screen and mouse until things have settled down.

Really lets down the overall presentation quality of the sim for me and I feel quite sure it's not good for your eyes.

On a plus note, I noticed a marked improvement in FPS stability by replacing the "auto" with "motionvector" in the projection settings and also changing the low latency mode to ultra in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Sounds Good

The Loadscreen flickering is a SteamVR Bug and I hope they find a Solution. I close my eyes while loading.

But anyway, I'm 100% Happy with the Reverb and DCS today. Its unbelievable in combination with the Motionsimulator and Simshaker, how good a Home-Simulator can be today

This was a very good Year for us

Merry Christmas
