philstyle Posted July 21, 2017 Share Posted July 21, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I'm hosting a new Storm of War mission this Sunday evening, 23rd July at 1830 UK local time, to run for 3 to 4 hours. The mission is designed to loosely follow the ground situation on June 22 1944 when the US forces attacked and captures Cherbourg. The situation in the air will be more "balanced" than real life though, with more Luftwaffe aircraft available than historically accurate (for gameplay reasons). AI will also be acting for both sides, largely in support roles. I expect to have a few (say 4 to 10 slots free, primarily for Luftwaffe pilots who want to join in. You'll be more likely to have success if you are in a squadron, or fly with a couple of mates. There might also be a few (>5) slots for allied pilots, but Luftwaffe are in the highest demand right now. Full details of the mission briefing and discussion are posted on the SoW forums (http://www.stormofwar.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=6249), which (due to recent bot spamming) you have to register for in order to read. The storm of war TS channel will be used. If anyone is keen, feel free to register over on SoW and we'll try and sort you out with access and information for the mission.
