Heatblur Simulations is looking for talented artists!

Job Description
We are looking for a vehicle/aircraft/asset artist to join the team at Heatblur Simulations! We are ideally looking for candidates in Kraków or Warsaw, Poland - but also accept remote candidates.
Do you want to be on the cutting edge of real time graphics creation of some of the most exciting vehicles or aircraft out there? Then join us on our journey!

This is a full time position.
  • Working from scanned models and images to create fully functional, extremely realistic vehicles/aircraft.
  • Creating exceptionally detailed and accurate textures for all types of vehicles and aircraft.
  • As part of a team, maintain a high standard of modelling, texturing, PBR material creation to provide consistent and high quality assets
  • Collaborate with designers, technical artists, and Heatblur studios to achieve design goals.
  • Work with technical artists to deliver new solutions for physics driven elements such as landing gear or wheels while also delivering fully animated parts for all other elements such as doors, canopies, ramps, seats, flight surface transformations, wing flex, etc.
  • Skills & Requirements
  • Exceptional texturing skills with high-resolution PBR textures.
  • Exceptional hard surface modeling experience and skills.
  • Passion for pushing the state of the art in asset fidelity and production techniques
  • Experience with PBR shaders.
  • Strong working knowledge of 3DS Max, Maya, Modo, Blender or other modeling packages.
  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Creating efficient, LP models
  • Strong knowledge of Substance or Quixel packages.
  • Working knowledge of rigging and animating hard surface models.
  • A high sense of self-motivation and initiative
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Focused, effective and motivated on all tasks, even post completion
  • Keep a positive team-oriented attitude
  • Be proactive and work without direct supervision
  • Excellent English communication and written skills
  • International travel may be required as part of the role
  • Experience texturing/creating organic shapes (e.g. soldiers or pilots)
  • Experience using Zbrush or Mudbox for HP models.
  • Avid gamer / simulation enthusiast
  • A love for DCS
