Hello there.

We just released the VSN F-106 DeltaDart. A FC3 based EFM mod with a custom pit. If you like, you can take a look here:

and download the mod right here:

SkinPacks, thanks to Urbi, can be downloaded here:

https://drive.filen.io/d/4e2d334a-4054-464d-bac2-34cb9d4311ba#jCgBsLioSt33RN8RqzWOwiAo3n8CuCpx

and here:

Big thanks to JP-Ferree for the cool trailer and the menu pictures, Pallino66HD for the soundtrack and Phil from Virtavia.com for getting us a license to use the really cool model.

If you are into DCS-modding, you will find the source-files for the EFM in the download. Please keep in mind, that the VSN_F106 EFM is based on the VSN_F104 EFM (except of course the data for aerodynamics) which is, in some parts, based on the A-4EFM. You are free to use this EFM or parts from it, when complying to the GPL-3 licensing agreement, which you'll find there as well.

You guys kick ass! This is awesome!

I'm just getting excited for the Mirage 3 to be revisted. The tease awhile back of all the varients was like a cruel April fools joke.

My understanding is that VSN is a team and each aircraft is created by different individuals, so the A-6 has one main developer, the F-4B another, and so on. Seems to me that the vsn developer behind the Mirage has real life commitments that have delayed this project … I don’t believe that the progress reports were meant to be a joke, or to be cruel with the users. These Mods are provided for free, so I’m happy to use whichever one is released and don’t get frustrated with those that are not released yet.

Please dont make me out to be a bad guy. I was just kidding around. Sorry you took my comment so seriously.

I was mainly sharing my excitment for the Mirage to be worked on. (I use the old one a lot in scenarios as it had lots of operators)

I also did talk to some of them on the Discord, it does sound like the Mirage 3 is coming soon down the pipeline as the final touches for the F-35, F4, and the F106 release were priority, and are now all about wrapped up.

it is not clickable, like an F-15C of flamming cliffs 3

only the F-4B/C has a clickable cockpit

how about trying out what VSN has already provided … before asking for more?

Thanks for answering my questions, Rudel!

I guess the answers to the future mods VSN might make would be "Maybe...maybe not."  If they made the F-104 and the F-106, I suppose they've considered the ones I mentioned.  I just get excited. LOL.  You're right.  I need to try out the F-106...A & B!!  That's enough right there for a while.  I guess I was just hoping for an answer like, "Yes, we're thinking about them.  But it will be some time yet...if we can even do them."  I suppose I just answered my own question.

F9F-5 Panther.  I wish it had an authentic 3D cockpit and not the 'placeholder' A-10A cockpit.  But I understand.  It's a lot of work!  It sure is COOL seeing the F9F's flying around as AI aircraft, though!!

This was a reply I got about a month or so ago. Again just sharing my excitement for when it does eventually get up and going again.

"Mirage-3 is such a cool project, that we really want to release it with a fitting 3d custom cockpit. Since we are way behind our normal schedule, it will take a longer while until we get the Mirage done. Plans are to make it FC3 dependent but EFM + custom cockpit"
