DCS: Normandy 1944 Map Update

 

Since the Alpha release of the Normandy 1944 Map to high-level Kickstarter backers and selected press, we been listening to the feedback and are very pleased with the excellent reception! We are reading all the feedback, and it will help make the product even better at early access release later this month.

Inauguro il thread ponendo la prima domanda, secondo voi quanto peserà in giga l' accoppiata Normandy 1944+Assets Pack? si hanno notizie in merito magari da qualche backers per quanto riguarda solo la mappa?

 

A titolo di confronto se non erro ricordo che il download del solo Nevada, quindi senza il World 2.0 , era di circa 24Gb....

Si avevo visto questo valore nei requisiti del sistema minimo e consigliato ma non credo sia quella la dimensione corretta perchè lo stesso valore viene riportato per l' Assets Pack singolo:

E per logica qualcosa non torna , che l' Assets Pack abbia le stesse dimensioni di una mappa intera mi sembra inverosimile , alla stessa stregua rispetto al Nevada la Normandia è molto più "piena" con relativa conseguenza a livello di dimensioni.

it will be an update to 2.1.0 and installed to Mods folder.

 

as additional, about 12 GB is needed for Normandy map and Assets pack.

Sembra pesi meno del Nevada...

 

Solo 12Gb per l' accoppiata Normandy 1944+Assets Pack?...uhmm continuo a pensare che sia inverosimile se paragonati ai 24Gb del solo Nevada.

 

Peraltro se non erro entrambe le mappe sono state realizzare in T4 (il T5 dovrebbe fare il suo debutto con lo stretto di hormuz..) quindi sotto questo punto di vista non dovrebbero avere delle differenze di pacchettizzazione così marcate da far risultare la prima più assets pack addirittura la metà della seconda che è solo una mappa e per di più principalmente relativa ad una zona desertica..

Il Nevada copre 366.000km quadrati, mentre la Normandia 93.000.

Poi potrebbe anche avere una compressione diversa

Anche questo è vero , però c'è da dire che il rapporto km quadrato/riempimento è notevolmente diverso nel senso che a livello di peso per così dire un conto è averlo solo di deserto , un' altro con foreste, ecc...

 

Boh.. aspettiamo venerdi prossimo....

300x300 km? Piccolissima, utilizzabile solo per aerei subsonici. :cry:

267x348km, un area più grande di quanto inizialmente era stato dichiarato( l'Inghilterra non era in previsione in quanto non era stata raggiunta la cifra minima nel kickstarter)

Non tieni in considerazione alcuni fattori:

 

-il mare, che copre il 50% della mappa

-a parte le coste, è tutta pianura

-Las Vegas è tutta in risoluzione 1m per pixel

-Il Nevada è sì un deserto ma ci sono canyon e rilievi montuosi
