Thanks for reporting! There are now multiple reports of what I believe is the same issue. I have now been able to reproduce a crash when pressing wheels brakes on the runway. Unfortunately the crash isn't in my code, so I've forwarded it to ED.

There is a possibly unrelated warning in your dcs.log that I am trying to track down the causes to too (I can't reproduce this). The NaN (Not a Number) is like a virus that originates... from somewhere. I've added more checks related to elevon angles as that is what I can see from your log, but unless I am able to reproduce that, the hunt will continue in next patch if users are able to get the warning and can post it here.

You know the rule? When you wait for it to come ... it will not appear for sure. This is the only evidence for devil's existence. Seems not an easy task to hunt this one down, but anyway: HAPPY HUNTING

I'll keep an eye on that during the next weeks, and once it freezes again I will backup the DCS.log and provide a short description of that specific event via this thread.

I'll have to fly the beast anyway much more (besides the Cat) to stay current, so now I have a very good reason for arguing (girl friend ...) :joystick:

Some Touch&Go with different approaches (w/wo brakes, w/wo reverser).

DCS crashed this time (not only freeze) while applying wheel brakes after a few touch and go's.

Just had the same issue. Completed the first level in the 2 part campaign. I pulled of the runway and the sim crashed.

Having the same problem regardless of map.

Do you mind posting your DCS.log after a crash?

Is anyone else still experiencing this with the last update? And is there any workaround to avoid this?

I flew Mission 2 two of the Viggen red flag campaign and after following the lead aircraft for what felt like an hour through Nevada Map and finally landing back at Nellis, DCS froze and wouldn’t recover.Slightly annoying the least as I have to do the whole thing again, since the Mission success hadn’t been registered yet..

Same issue here and I got this error everytime now after flying a mission on a multiplayer server (so far only air to air in 2.5.6). In my case the error occurs when automatically shutting down the Viggen with "Windows+End" in the parking position. The hangup/crash usually occurs after the first (Start of autoshutdown message) or second (switching mode to BER) message.

Edit: Btw. I also applied autostart and autoshutdown after spawning with keeping different systems on after autostart. No crash this way, autoshutdown seems to work well if the plane didn't move or fly before. And I have the decimal coordinate system on the map enabled. Will try if this still happens with the standard coordinates.

It also occurs on two different PCs.

Lotsa of these cartridge messages before, I have to delete the cartridge files / Viggen folder ;-)

So the fix seem to have worked for some of us. Strange.

FYI, for me it's working great now, it would CTD 100% of the times I tried to shut down before the latest patch. Now I haven't been able to reproduce the error after a lot of shut downs.

Memory pieces count is number of times the RWR has received a signal during the mission and it was recorded to memory, and 1826 is quite high (about average one beep every two second for an whole hour). And from Snappys description it sounds also likely that, due to the long mission, there was a lot of data to analyze.

I am going to lower the max cap of data to record during a mission and also if the analysis fails for whatever reason it will reset the data and not try to analyze it again.

Again I got a freeze with the Viggen after touching the ground on a runway and coming to full stop in the desert with retracted gear (but aircraft was set to "immortal").

Then I tried to put away my Warthog for leaving DCS, but hit the HÖJD (altitude hold) button.

I have 32GB RAM.

Btw. I also have this bug after stopping via thrust reversal only, so the brakes don't seem to be involved here. The coordinate system doesn't have any influence, too. The number of memory pieces vary (were also between 800 and 1000) but it's always the "RWR: bad allocation" error in my case. On multiplayer servers there are often a lot of ships, SAMs and escorts for AWACS and tankers, so the RWR is playing music all the time.

Shall I try to delete the Viggen in the mods directory and reinstall it ?

Oh, did one simple test: Flew with RWR off => no crash on autoshutdown.

So yes, it looks like it's the data collected by the RWR in my case.

This occurs since the update to 2.5.6 (stable here). Two days before the stable update I downgraded my old PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

The new system was freshly installed with Windows 10, so unfortunately I can't tell you if this problem occurs in Windows 7, too.

Few days ago I had another freeze whily flying the Viggen.

Situation was while engaging the HÖJD (altitude hold) function while I was in a climb. No response from the sim, had to kill DCS.exe.

Will see if I can find the log, but I fear it was overwritten since I used DCS again later on.
