Cooling could be off, I would have to do some checking on it, I generally don't do long bursts on any guns, so I haven't really seen an issue.
Fun is starting when auto cannon is firing from closed chamber position and cartridge starts going off by it self and all ammo is shoot out without touching trigger.
But barrel must be super hot.

Not a fan of the hit effects as modeled in the latest update. To me it looks cartoony and reminds me of why I hate the competitor that shall not be named. IMHO of this link looks more like actual footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoISTrG3TWQ

As rhinofilms shared the link we must remember that that sim has been around since 2001. Abet with many upgrades and mods.

I personally think the current hit effects are exaggerated, but on the right path. Smoke puffs are a bit extreme/dense/thick, and the flashes iirc follow the puffs, I think the flash lifetime is too long.

It also depends a lot on ammo types, which I personally would like to see us get options to select in the rearming window for. Some modules already have this feature, I think warbirds can as well.

The artists always have to be told to tone it down a notch. They can't help showing off their stuff.

Anyway, how much longer? Do we get a christmas present?

It could have been, but they cant merge it with 2.5.5, so now we just need to wait for 2.5.6, probably 1st quarter, I am happy we get a little more time to bake the effects though.

Thanks for the update Nineline, can't wait to fly the warbirds with the new DM. It will be a complete game changer!
