Avionics upgrade in a future ?

Hey guys, even though first release is not ready yet Im already thinking if could be some plan to upgrade the F-5 avionics to glass cockpit in the future.

It'd be a complete redo of the cockpit and a big change to the ASM. If it were to be done, it'd probably be another module.

It would be straight up making a whole new module at that point, since most of those modernized versions would require a whole new flight model and systems modeling.

At that point why not make an F-16? Rather than an F-5 with F-16 avionics that would take just as long to develop.

Now you're talking, F-16 would be awesome. Sigh...unfortunately DCS does not have a A/G radar, perhaps some day.

Well the air-ground radar is on the way.

Its coming together with the F-18 (either late this year or early next year).

And on top of that: 3rd party devs are free to develop their own A-G radar, like Leatherneck Simulations is doing for their AJS-37 Viggen.
