For some reason embedding this isn't working. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOHYVUZUpYA
This is one of the most recent videos I've seen of F/A-18C's operating from a carrier, lots of good traps, refuelling and strikes.

Hornets Over Kuwait by Jay A. Stout
Currently reading this, seems pretty good so far, will update when I'm done.
Amazon Link

Bogeys and Bandits: The Making of a Fighter Pilot by Robert Gandt
Quite enjoyed this one although its more about the pilots and their backgrounds which I found less interesting than a war diary type of book but still worth checking out.
Amazon Link

Haven't found too many books by Hornet pilots, anyone got any others to recommend?

I read the first one: hornets over kuwait. That for sharing. Letting us know it was free.

Though as a disclaimer the usmc pilot is flying an f18a not a c. ( is mentioned at one point in the book)

To embed youtube videos, you only put whats after the = in the YT url between the brackets.
In this case OOHYVUZUpYA

Nice little insight into the F/A-18 gene pool.

- Test Pilot, Bob Ettinger, talks about his time with the Light Weight Fighter, Joint Test Force, flying the Northrop YF-17 and General Dynamics YF-16

I always like the higher pitch whistle when they are at lower power settings like at the start one this video I took earlier this year

I know VFA-87 doesn't fly the Charlie anymore, but here is Tailhook 2017 JO panel talking about the recent shoot down. VFA-37 (still flying legacy jets, with lots of problems) is also on the panel since they were there that day.

RhineHornet is on a distinguished road
Default Dope vid

One of the coolest Legacy Hornet videos I have found on YT so far. With the Blue Angels. No awful music overlay, just comms and cockpit sounds.

Enjoy!
