sorry... i meant i changed the cockpit res to 512 every frame.

No changes for me, stutter when using trackir is alway present unless I lock the fps at 60fpps....

I've tried all solution on planet earth....so far no way to solve the problem, also tried another unit from a friend, problem is still there

playing at perfect 60 or 120 fps.....

Poor Goa, but hey ... You are not alone my friend. Got TIR 5 today and have stuttery movement, mostly when I start panning slowly and I think most of the time its the 45 and 90 degrees angles.

Nasa Computer here so its the same old same old. Buying expensive stuff doesn't mean DCS will be a blast.

Give the TIR one more day of tweaking, then back to the seller. I have 60hz TV right now if that helps.

Come on discord tomorrow evening with Bitmaster so we'll talk about it, at 60 fps trackir is smooth , i guarantee:thumbup::thumbup:

can confirm, locking refresh to 60fps in riuvatuner makes track ir 5 smooth, if i allow my onitor to run at 100hz (even with gysnc on) its not as smooth and stutters loads, despite being well above 60.

Personally my I keep the refresh rate at 144hz and I only lock the fps at 60, there is no need to lock also the refresh rate, at 144hz@60fps it's even smoother than having 60hz@60fps.

Speed monitor Hz is synchronized with the framerate. If the monitor will be set to 240Hz and fps lock to 60 fps, the speed of the monitor switches it to 60Hz.

TrackIR stutters like described by OP in the opening post. Not pleased at all. Can we skip new modules till the core game wrks ?

It wouldn't be the same team that work on modules, maps or AI that have been working on this engine for the last few years. If you pulled coders or engineers off to first learn where the team is at with testing, changes and bugs etc. You would go way backwards to bring everyone up to speed.

Just throwing coders at it, doesn't mean it will get bugs fixed and optimized quicker.

Plus these guy's are also working on Vulkan a new tech for ED and this team. Perhaps Vulkan will be like skynet and squash all the bugs.;)

How are you locking the frames at 60 but keeping it at 144hz mate? Thanks....

I've tried the lastest drivers, trackir stuttering still present unless fps are locked at 60fps, it's not a matter of drivers , rather an incompatibility between opengl (trackir ) and directx ( DCS).
