key_stroked
however if this would be realistic, sorry but it should stay No it shouldn't. You shouldn't sacrifice functionality for the sake of "what the real jet looks like". My 2D computer monitor doesn't accurately depict what real life looks like. Line needs to be drawn between usability and realism.
ED Team NineLine Posted July 6, 2018 ED Team Share Posted July 6, 2018 Ok guys, even thought I asked Wags about this, and he told me that it was tuned per ED's internal SME's, I still decided to ask another, this time Lex, you may have seen his videos. Anyways, he stated. that he feels the HUD tint is fine, and more likely people are just having issues with HUD wash out due to external sun/light angles. And that this issue is common with most HUD combiners in real life. Same for spotting, its a game play vs realism balance. I know in most cases I dont have an issue spotting through the HUD, but just like cockpit reflections, you can get that perfect storm and lose track on something due to it, but it seems pretty real to me. So I really cant answer or address this anymore than this, we have some great SME's internally tuning this stuff with Wags and the ED team, and now this is another outside opinion confirming pretty much the same thing.
