[Video] F-15C landing tips

The flare is 3 degrees, units of AoA aren't what you are watching when you flare. You raise the pitch to arrest descent - since you're -3deg on the glodeslope, you flare it to bting it to -0.5 or less (but not more than zero). If you do not, you could damage the landing gear or shorten its lifespan.

That's clear, thanks GG.

Also I'll add that this is general technique - your flare needs to be adjusted for circumstance, ie. weight and power and where you are on the glideslope. If you are running a 1deg glide-slope (... why? but anyway) then obviously your flare is one degree at most, which is a tiny, tiny movement :)

For example, you might pull power in the flare and bring the FPM to zero and then just let it 'settle' on its own as the plane loses speed.

If you are landing a heavy aircraft, you might flare and THEN pull power.

In a formation landing, you will control your flare so you set down the plane a bit more firmly, since you don't want to be floating down the runway while your wingman is touched down etc.

Overhead break landing.

Minimum speed is 300kt, in this case it's 350kt to simulate aircraft coming out of combat.

Whatever speed you choose, make sure that if you are with a wingman, everyone executes the same way and arrives at the same parameters, otherwise you will mess up the spacing, people will have to go around etc etc.

GG, those landings are amazing. You should consider posting some more videos if you have the time, I for one could learn a lot from them
