As a test, I connected the gnd wire to my wrist, using a pc ground strap. The Makey board comes with 11 inputs stock. They are, Four directional keys Space bar W, A, S, D, F, an G plus both mouse buttons. Using metal tape, (the kind used for duct work), I connected all the inputs to pads cut from the tape and stuck on a wood board in the shape of my five fingers, with the extra pads placed below. Plugged her in and tested in DCS. AWESOME! It is like having a touch screen, without the screen! I can use it easily with the Rift on, I do not need to see the board. Fired guns by tapping the pad! Selected cockpit functions by looking and touching. NO MOUSE NEEDED! The best part? You can go to a web site and re-program the board to output any keys you wish! Now the prototype works, it is on to designing a better touch pad! Something I can attach to the Warthog throttle base. Very cool! I will post pics when ready.
