Zortex
Guess you can use ME for that as well, or simply edit the camp_init.lua DATE section (Recommend Notepad++) I tried editing lua file and it doesn't work. Is there any other way to make it working ?
Ziptie
I tried editing lua file and it doesn't work. Is there any other way to make it working ? You can literally open the mission editor (from main menu of DCS after booting the game) - then change the date within mission editor. Save your progress before leaving the mission editor. Then run the mission as normal, thru the DCS menus. itarrow
Guys, tried reinstalling Harrier over Caucasus - LHA several times, anyway the problem is always there... I'm spawned over the Stennis as an F14 (even if I'm in the Harrier)... Nobody else with this problem ? Reinstalled everything (last versions) several times, restarted the campaign... Nothing works. My Harrier keeps spawning on the Stennis and not on the Tarawa... EDIT: tried Harrier over PG: no problems there. The Harrier spawns on Stennis just in the Caucasus - LHA campaign. EDIT 2: it seems also the Harrier over PG - LHA has some problems... all my first missions tried start with several Hornets crashing. Not sure what is happening on the Stennis deck... EDIT 3: tried Harrier over Cacuasus LHA also without 1.0.7 updates... no change: Harrier is always spawned together on the Stennis (not on Tarawa). Anyway it seems that both the Harrier LHA campaigns (Caucasus and PG) have problems... anybody else got the same issues or am I alone (asking because I went through the usual reinstall DCE campaigns, restart campaigns etc and nothing works...) ? D3adCy11nd3r
So this is kind of nict picky I am sure, but is there a way to turn the ASH alignment function on for the tomcat?
tn_prvteye
You can always do it in the Mission Briefing...although I forget sometimes.
D3adCy11nd3r
Yeah, I had been doing that when I was manually doing the random failures as well, now I have a fancy script [Thanks @Miguel21] So now I forget to turn it on before a mission. Ziptie
PB0_CEF, I just downloaded vs 6 and I am having the same error. I even dl the Navy Equipment mod again, double checked installed. Any idea? EDIT: I don't know how to edit that base.miz. Would you provide one without that mod, pls? I just can't make JSGME to register the mod as installed, although it is there. EDIT 2: Managed to install the Navy Equip manually. Flew the first mission. Is there any way to silence the briefing reading? Tks, Sydy Can I pleas ask where you installed the deckcrew mod? I have tried where others suggested and it still says “USN Deckcrew required.” Have installed under core mods in tech folder and under mods in tech folder. Have tried in the saved games path, as well as the main directory install on my other drive (where main game directory is saved). Really want to try some of these missions/campaigns that require the mod but have had zero luck in doing so. Have tried saving folder as “USN Deckcrew” “USN-Deckcrew” and even “USN- Deckcrew”. No luck. I had this issue when I first tried to play these campaigns, also make sure you are using the 11.0.7 scripts [if fps is bad on 11.0.7 use the prune script from 11.0.5]

I have no idea what OVGME or W.E is - or even what you mean in regards to a first mission gen..... Very low level skill at any kind of coding stuff, and even very low skill level with the mission editor within DCS software. Any suggestions for a newb of those assets, on how to accomplish that easily? I can (and will google search for OVGME software - assuming that is what that is) and will try that tomorrow morning when I get back to home base, but have no idea what I’m doing at this point. D3adCy11nd3r
No worries man, we were all there once. So OVgme is a mod manager. " https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/OVGME " Makes it easier to maintain and activate everything needed. W.E is short for whatever because there is another mod manager out there, but I am not sure what the name is and I don't use that one so.. The first mission gen is a .bat file that is located in the campaigns/tomcatoverpg-cvn [for example, different missions will be named different things.] Check the front page for the install of 11.0.7 AD files. There is little to no mission editor work or real code work with these missions so if you are writing a block of code you are doing something way wrong LOL Give me a shout if you need any more help, the guys here are really helpful. PB0_CEF
With Miguel21 we will release soon a new DCE version with some debug and improvements. I will come back to a more simple release system : One file for one campaign ! We will begin with the Hornet over PG release because it will give opportunity to fly many different kinds of missions : Intercept, Escort, Strike, SEAD, Antiship strike... We will wait for players feedback to release other campaigns with the new DCE version : -More aggressive enemy CAP -Less IA deck collisions -Repair options for Targets sites -Easier Prunescript configuration to adapt to MP -IA inflight collisions over CVN fixed -Possibility to enable aircraft random failures -New loadouts (Harpoon, GPS bombs) [/url]All known Dynamic Campaign Engine Campaigns Last DCE news : Crisis in PG - Blue version

I have attached a rtf doc (simply rename it by removing the .zip part) with 2 screenshots. First one is the result of firstmission.bat, which shows the Stennis as the assigned catapult slot. Second screenshot is from the Mission Planner, where you can see that the player aircraft is placed on Stennis and not on Tarawa...
