Charlie59
Got your attention yet!!!! Hi guys, I recently purchased Black Shark and did all the updates and patches. Ensured that all my drivers were up to date and so on. The problem is that when I enter to training, the game seems to have some sort of graphical dummy spit and the screen goes blank. I can still hear the sound as if it is still running like normal but no picture. A message comes up in the lower left of my screen saying that my nvidia graphics adapter has recovered. Having never seen this befor I tried a few things like lowering my resolution from HD down to 1024x768 (nice and safe). Still the same problem! I have 2 monitors - 1 x 19"(Number 2) and 1 x 24"(Number 1). Controllers - Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar with throtal. No rudder peddels The mapping to my controllers works fine as well as all axis mapping for both units. After 2 days of truying to nut this out I am at a loss as to what to do next. I have searched through online posts but every time I see the same thing writen up, the solution is something to do with files unique to a particular display card vendor or MOBO vendor. But nothing that I can use. All my specs are on the following attachments here. Please read and let me know what you think. GGTharos
It looks like you've overclocked your CPU. Try putting it back to default. Do you have a sidewinder mouse? Another thing you can do is to disconnect peripherals and see if DCS keeps crashing when you start it up. Resolution won't help anything - make sure you uninstall and clean up the drivers, and install 185's (not the newest) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Charlie59
Thanks for that. Did all that though befor I put this post up. Striped it down to bare essentials, standard settings in BIOS, no overclocking and already had 185 drivers installed as they seem to be very stable accross the board. This one has me scratching my head. Cheers for anything you can come up with though mate, it all helps to confirm what I have already done. Slayer
Are you running in full screen or window mode? My game does something similar and even after a fresh install I must manually go into the config file and set it to full screen because I can't see the game unless it's full screen.... Charlie59
Full screen mode Yep am in full screen mode. If you go into the settings area of the sim there is a check box for selecting full screen mode. Try selecting that to get full screen all the time. Do you go into the propertys of the shortcut as well to make any changes? I have tried compatability mode XP SP2 and still the screen plays up. I am going to run it again and copy the error display that comes up and post it here as well. BRB Cheers Brett AKA Charlie59

Pyroflash
same thing happens to me, but I am using a laptop. Of course, the problem has escalated and now instead of recovering like it usually does, it just crashes my computer entirely(either locks up or does vista's version of blue screening a.k.a. turning itself off). Cheers Just played your track back and there is no issue there which leads one to believe that the fault is Hardware-Related. Personally would start troubleshooting at the PSU and GPU. Pyroflash
BTW, this is kind of off topic, but any idea on how to stream live video using xfire from black shark? The broadcasts don't seem to work, along with the rest of xfire's functionality with the game. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground. Pyroflash
right, I guess I will just have to get my friends to see how the sim works firsthand then. And after that I can learn Russian so I can read the other part of the forums which seems like it has infinitely better info than the English side...
