rifraf105
Hi all, since release iv had an issue with the right flap only dropping, making it roll constantly as expected? More recently i have been unable to load any mission with the yak and it displays an error message. (see Pic Attatched) Any ideas or help would be awesome, thanks Edited January 20, 2019 by rifraf105 PC Specs: Asus ROG Strix Z370-E Motherboard 4x 8Gb corsair vengance 3000Mhz RAM ROG STRIX 1080Ti Graphics Processor Intel® Core i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz, 3701 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s) DCS runs on its own 1Tb 970 EVO M.2 SSD Oculas Rift S Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog setup. Svsmokey
I do not as yet have the Yak-52 (next module) so take these with a grain of salt . 1st regarding the 135mhz message , it sounds like a conflict between the Yak's radio frequency capability and that of other AI assets you have in the mission . Regarding the "flap" , have you verified your diagnoses with the F2 view ? The Yak has a fixed rudder trim tab that requires constant rudder input at anything other than cruise speed . Rudder offset can induce roll . Also , you might consider calibrating or trimming the joystick to eliminate roll . A little deadzone can be helpful as well . Finally and belatedly , welcome to the forums ! 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
rifraf105
Thanks for the advice and welcome, The left roll is induced by the increased lift on the right wing hence the roll to the left also confirmed by F2 :P That pop up happens no matter what mission i try to load and i cant select the Yak in a multiplayer game either.?? Svsmokey
So if indeed it is an asymmetrical flap deployment that is confirmed by F2 , I would try running a repair . A lot of new pilots refer to the ailerons as flaps , thus the post regarding aileron trim . Have you tried the instant action missions ? The pic appeared to be of a quick or mission editor mission . Regarding multiplayer , have you tried the Aerobatics server ? As the Yak is not a combat aircraft , it may be dis-allowed by other servers ? Just occured to me ....make sure you are in "sim" mode-not "game"and "easy communications" off . ED Team NineLine Posted February 7, 2019 ED Team Share Posted February 7, 2019 Hi all, since release iv had an issue with the right flap only dropping, making it roll constantly as expected? More recently i have been unable to load any mission with the yak and it displays an error message. (see Pic Attatched) Any ideas or help would be awesome, thanks Can you include a track of the flap issue? I cannot reproduce, also not that you can damage the individual flaps if you lower them at speeds you shouldnt. Watch your briefing for any reported damage afterwards, I can see that being an issue.
