It is a GREAT book.

Right up there with "Chickenhawk", "To the Limit", and "Low Level Hell".

Some interviews with the author can be found on YouTube, as well as as a reddit AMA thread (I think?).

Thanks for the heads up chichlidfan, I just finished my last book and was about to shell out $14 for a fiction....

I bought the audiobook version on audible. I listened to it 3 times already. Incredibly well written, I can only recommend it. A lot of details about flying techniques, balanced with a lot of the "human side". Mark Garrison is not only a great pilot but a talented storyteller too.

I bought this about a month ago for my kindle and also the audio book version (first audio book I have bought). I just listened to it over the past few days while driving to/ from Adelaide to Avalon for the Australian International Air Show 2017 ((I listened when my partner was driving).

A most enjoyable read/ listen. Recommended to others here.

Awesome book, prefered the writing style here to the author of chickenhawk. +1 as a must read for anyone interested.

Thanks a lot for the heads up ... I checked, and it still was priced at US$1 ... So, I purchased it today :D

I am about a third of the way through it. I moved it ahead of about two dozen books that were already in the queue, and I am enjoying it quite a bit.

I finished it in about 6 days, couldn't put it down and loved every bit. Now the housework has backed up a bit and the dog hair is collecting in drifts.....

Just finished reading, excellent book! Compliments Chickenhawk very well showing a comparison between Gunship and Slick pilots.

Also got me into playing around with our Gunship version of the huey we have in sim. That didn't go very well. I'll stick with the Tight LZ's and not being able to shoot back!

That is why I have a Roomba. ;) That and the fact that my younger dog does not attack it like he does the upright vacuum.

Finished the book and it was excellent, though I will admit that the author could have used the services of a decent editor.
