cthulhu68
I've noticed a few modules have options you can choose before starting mission in ME like changing laser code. It would be nice if we could choose NV goggles /HMD this way since you get HMD by default even in pretty dark conditions. I know this can be changed through re-arming but I like to Hot-start and don't get chance to choose.
chromium
but even in hot start you can contact ground support and ask for changing it by radio menù Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously. Holton181
but even in hot start you can contact ground support and ask for changing it by radio menù But might require to dial in to the ground radio first, not the frequency but the radio selector on your left side (don't remember its name). It's in the manual. Also, try open the door and "shout" your requests to the ground personnel (radio menu with open door) Helicopters and Viggen DCS 1.5.7 and OpenBeta Win7 Pro 64bit i7-3820 3.60GHz P9X79 Pro 32GB GTX 670 2GB VG278H + a Dell PFT Lynx TrackIR
cthulhu68
I guess the problem must be simple radio not hot start. I just tried going through re-arm process. I can request the switch but ground crew doesn't respond or change it.
chromium
try in interphone channel if you're not with canopy open. BitMaster
YOu have to have the correct frequency as well to contact ground crew if you intend to use comms. It will not work if the mission designer has not matched the Ka-50s default frequency to the one you lift off from. Check in briefing if it is set correctly. If not, dial it in manually ! In any case, SHOUTING OUT THE DOOR always works, regardless of any setting. If they still do not respond with open door then the facility where you are does not have those capabilities like NV, Weapons, Repair, PickupZone, Troops, etc... ( see mission design options ). cthulhu68
Thanks for help everybody. I still think it would be easier to check a box in ME though. I think Gunney Highway said it best...
