Through The Inferno (Persian Gulf) - Highly dynamic and endless task-based mission

Recommended Posts

Hallo Deadlyfishes,

I prefer sp over mp so your missions are the ones I play the most. The only concern I have is that you always fly solo. Now I loaded your mission into the editor and gave myself a wingman. The only problem is that ones it has rtb'ed I have to fly solo again or restart.

I was wondering if it is possible to give the player an ai wingman that despawns after landing and respawns when the player starts his engines with a full loadout again? Going overboard here but it would be great if you could choose a wingman with a2a or a2g loadout for the multirole planes.

Just dreaming here.

RedeyeStorm

It's a limitation of DCS of the moment as far as I know.... You'll have to re-start once your wingmen decide the sortie is over.

Anyway,

I just pushed an update today which adds a TON more aircraft for the enemy list, so there's more variety for A2A,

Some new vehicles in the enemy pool for A2G, also A2G HARD will now have more complex SAM networks and tougher ground threats to really get some challenging A2G going on, and to really get good usage of aircraft with SEAD weapons/capabilities.

Enjoy!

Thanks Deadlyfishes,

Yes it is to bad there is no easy way to respawn your wingman. I looked at Moose and the Escort option and tried to see if I could make any sense of it. I gave up soonest. I simply don't want to spent time to learn lua to the neccesary level. I rather fly in my limited time.

Have you ever looked at that option? The Moose demo mission does look promising.

Hi,

I've been playing DCS for years now, but only in single player. I play in sim mode, but I don't know how to use radios or any of the deeper elements of DCS. I know how serious the MP community of DCS is and that has always kept me away from trying it. Is this something I could get my feet wet in? I don't want to accidentally shoot another player down and ruin their fun :) I have been learning the FA-18 and would like to slowly work my way into MP.

Hey all, a new update has been pushed to the ED User Files page for this mission! I've added many new zones to increase dynamic gameplay.

UPDATE 07/10/2018:

- Each A2G Mission type now has 10 zones, making for 40 possible mission locations, with endless unit variety/composition/placement within zone.

This change brings a much more unpredictable dynamic to the mission generation script.

Hey there, I have a weird problem presenting itself just on this scenario/mission.

I use the AV8B.

After spawning the mission and getting coordinates from JTAC, I try to add a waypoint through aircraft system. The problem is that I can get it on the UFC but the EHSD doesn't "get" the info I input to dreate a waypoint by inputing the JTAC (or map) LL informations.

Any other mission doesn't get this problem and let me add/edit waypoints within the aircraft, while in this specific mission whatever I input isn't reflected into the EHSD... any clue about what I should do or if this is a known problem ?

This happens on caucus f/18 as well somethes.. JTAC seems to spit #'s that dont always seem to be accepting by the planes conputer.. At this point I open the map and get my coordinates from the mouse.

Hopefully that will change one day. Happens every so often but works otherwise.

The issue is that the JTAC autolase coordinates are in L/L DECIMAL. To input coordinates in the hornet or harrier you need L/L Mins/Sec

Find a converter online that converts L/L Decimal to L/L Time

The reason why using the F10 map works is because the F10 Map by default gives you L/L time

Multiply the minute decimal point value by 60 to get the seconds.

ie. 24N 38 12.25E would be, 0.25x60 = 15

Converts to 24 00 00N 38 12 15E

- Added/Changed CV-74 Stennis ATC Frequency to 115.5 AM

I was unable to talk to the Stennis on this frequency with the Hornet, according to the guide, the Hornet's radio cannot transmit on frequencies 108 through 117.995 AM. Might need to change it.

Hey guys! A GREAT NEW UPDATE HAS ARRIVED! -- Find the download link on the first page of this forum post, it's the link to the ED User files page.

UPDATE 12/16/2018:

- Added "Zeus" spawning/destroying feature.

- Added "ALIVE" versions which act similarly to the multiplayer version of TTI.

- Added more objects to Stennis Carrier.

- Added Random Air Traffic for "ALIVE" versions.

WHAT'S NEW?

Several variations of the mission is included:

ALIVE VERSION:

  • All missions will start automatically. --Just like the multiplayer version!

  • Enemy A2A AI will spawn automatically, but can still be spawned manually if you'd like using the F10 - Other radio menu
  • Random SAM sites will generate in a random unknown location every 30+ minutes.
  • Random air traffic is active. You will see friendly civilian non-combat planes randomly flying their own routes.

STANDARD VERSION:

  • All missions must be triggered MANUALLY via the F10 Other - Radio Menu. -No random air traffic.

Both versions include a "Non-smoked targets" variation where the JTAC will not smoke designated targets.

Additionally, all versions of TTI include:

"ZEUS" MAP MARKER SPAWNS AND COMMANDS:

You can CREATE and DESTROY units out of thin air at ANY location you choose on the F10 map, like in "Zeus" mode from ArmA 3. (Details in the briefing and forum post on how to use these commands)

-Spawn in enemy aircraft of your choosing and at the location you desire for practice. (Spawning list is in the briefing/readme)

-Spawn in a JTAC for your friend to control (via combined arms)

-Spawn in an Abrams tank for your friend or for your self to control (via combined arms)

For some reason every time I try to spawn in the Viggen on the game crashes to desktop. Fresh open beta installation, no mods. Only happens on PG. Anyone else experienced that ? :/

Works fine here. Try deleting fxo, metashaders2 and mission editor folders located in User > Saved Games > DCS folder.

If all else fails, delete that folder entirely. You'll lose your binds though... Worth a shot?

You can save the config file in there if you want to back up your binds.

New update everyone! I've added way more units to the spawnable list, which should make things more interesting now.

You can find the full list in the first post as well as in the game briefing and readme files.

Also, the mini gif tutorial has been updated:

zeus_example.gif

UPDATE 12/16/2018 B:

- Added many more spawnable units to zeus spawnable list, including armor groups as well as allied bluefor units.

- Stennis Carrier will now shoot at enemy planes.

- Changed smoke colors. Smoke colors specified in briefing/readme.

Are you going to update the NTTR and Normandy WWII versions of this also?

Yes, eventually, but these are the most popular right now. I'm going to see how it plays out with our community to see if anything needs tweaking soon enough.

I'm thinking NTTR will come first, and I believe it's been a while since TTI: WW2 has had any love, I might need to update that one in general.

So looks like TTI: WW2 is using the VERY VERY old system, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it to be how the other missions shaped up to be, but!

NTTR with the new Zeus and Alive versions are ready to go--->
