Simpit Software from SDA

I just thought it over again. Where does it make sense from your point of view?

I added several panels and switches to the UH-1H profile, e.g. 6 identical rotaries for the cockpit lighting on the overhead panel or several similar switches on the pedestal panel. It would be a lot faster if it was possible to copy an existing record (with the graphics for the 2 or 3 positions already selected) than doing that from scratch for every switch.

But you are right, it is a „nice to have“.

Ikarus always works.

The ExportScript is the deciding factor here.

With the full modules (e.g. A-10C) everything works so far, because only the data of the own aircraft are read out here.

On the Flaming Cliffs aircrafts, the basic things work, but the RWR wouldn't show anything.

Hi.

Thank you for this great tool! I really like it!

I only have one question...Is it possible to add a panel for a mod plane?

I use the P-47 mod wich is based on the P-51.

I created its own panel with the files (copied the P51 files en renamed them for the P47)

The moment i load a mission with the P47 it loads the panel but then DCS crashes....

probably i have a wrong code of lua somewhere or need add the P47 somewhere...

I know how to setup a panel all the standard panels working good.

But can someone tell me step bij step tell me how to add a not standard panel?

Kind regards,

Hi,

DCS-ExportScripts is causing crash when joining F-86. DCS World 2.5 OpenBeta

Steps to reproduce: Place F-86 to Anapa, select takeoff from ramp, client, play mission.

Game crashes after selecting role.

Commenting --dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-ExportScript\ExportScript.lua]]) "solves" issue.

Hello Danvac.

Thank you again for your Mail with the infos about the modifications to the Airspeed-Indicator in the F-5 Cockpit.

It was a remarkable professional "Bug-report". Your attachments provided all required information.

That was unusual and refreshing.

Update to the F-5 ASI:

I created a corrected version of the MACH-disc, adapted to DCS 2.5.

All Layers are already put together and exported to a new File.

I have to send this to Heinz tonight.

Be advised Heinz is very busy working up the Gazelle and Harrier module, so be further patient please.

Hello danvac,

please test my ExportScript without TACVIEW and UniversRadio!

In the LogFile I don't see any error which is caused by my script.

Tonight I will test my ExportScript on my computer, but I don't have TACVIEW or something else running.

Hello Naj-Treg,

unfortunately I have never tried this before, therefore this only without guarantee.

I suppose the mod uses the P-51 cockpit.

In Export.log file the name of the airplane should be displayed when you play it.

Then make a copy of the P-51D.lua under the name shown in the Export.log file.

The Ikarus profile you give also this file name.

Then you have to make a copy of the P-51D.xml file under the new name.

If necessary you can also give me the download link to the mod, so I can have a look at it.

This is not a VS topic. That's a little more complex. I do it on the weekend. It's on the way ...

Hello McMicha,

Thankyou for the reply.

I setup the files as you described, checked the module name in the export.log and renamed the files to the one the export log shows.

Still get the crash when the P-47 get loaded.

I created a mission with multiple planes and select the P-51, no problem panel and gauges working good.

In the same mission i press esc ----> choose slot and select the P-47.

Then my custom made panel loads. then DCS crashes.

The only thing i changed is the panel background (for a P-47 panel) and re-sized and replaced the gauges.

when not using the Ikarus software or remove my P-47 panel files the mod works fine.

I am using the P-47 as a test bed....I have some more WWII mods and love to create some panels for them.

here is the link to the P-47 mod:

Hallo Danvac,

the Shadow is part of the evolution in our gauges-design.

There are little efforts to make them more vividly.

And yes - this attempts are based on my intensions only - and they are controversial.

In my imagination I hoped in the early stages, we could offer the option to

change the visibility of single layers by the user.

This could also useful to use one class (gauge) for different modules, by simply switch the

visibility of deviating markers. (eg. RPM-Gauges)

But reality shows me - we have so many more important things to handle...

Indeed it's not clear we will add such a function to ikarus.

Possibly the hassle and increasing source of troubles is not useful,

only to reduce the number of classes a bit.

BRIEFLY: Thats my fault only! => sorry.

So we have to request Heinz to change this class again.

=> @HJP can you add a second version of this ASI without shadow please? :helpsmilie:

THX!

Make it better with Photoshop or any program like that ...

Look at Tab "Configuration" and then "Background"

I think that's what you meant ...

I read your post again at home. I understand now. There is canvas with name shadow, which I can easily delete or change its visibility to Hidden.

Hello danvac,

i can confirm the problem, both in version 2.5 update 4 and version 1.5.8.

But I still have no idea why this happens, especially since it works on a normal mission (without client setting).

I still have to do extensive testing and I hope to find a solution for this.

Do you also have the problem that DCS freezes when the Mi-8 is started as a client?

New to this. I have no idea how to use it, where to put anything. How do I move the profile to my lower monitor? I can't click and drag it, It doesn't move. Where the export.lua scripts go? Can some one please make a a step by step tutorial? I can't find any clear documentation on how to set this up. I'm running 4 monitors. 3 across with Nvidia surround (5760x1080) across and 1680x1050 below. Trying to put Ikarus on the 1680x1050 monitor.

thanks guys.

Your Search-Fu is far better than mine!

Hello strike277,

Drag and drop is not supported for moving the panels.

The size and position of the panels are indicated by numerical values in the"Cockpit Panels" table on the"Configuration" tab.

This is described here.

The installation of the ExportScript is described here.

Please take a few screenshots of the Windows monitor settings so I can see how your monitors are arranged.

Then I can tell you how to enter which values in the table "Cockpit Panel".

You want to use a 1680x1050 pixel monitor for Ikarus, then you have to adjust the Ikraus profile in any case. Because they are all made for the monitor size 1920x1080.
