Version 1.01

Hello! Thank you for downloading the Commmunity A-4E-C Mod.

TO INSTALL:

Unzip and place the "Mods" Folder into C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha.* It's okay to overwrite existing files, as this only contains the A-4E-C.

*Note: The folder name after “Saved Games” does not matter, as long as it is the DCS folder. If you have multiple, place it into the folder with the name of the DCS version you use.

The Community A-4E Mod is a culmination of nearly three years of work on behalf seven driven team members and many vital advisors. We’re proud to present the most comprehensive DCS Mod to date, boasting such capabilities as Air to Ground Radar and Carrier Operations.

Could someone tell me why I can't get this A-4E-C to show in my "beta". I followed each direction and have the picture there, unfortunately I cannot find it in "the modules" When I try certain to find that module, I get a message that the " Files Do Not Exist" from the "Users" with my name in C:users. Just can't figure out why I can't get the A-4C-E. Any direction for me the idiot currently, I would appreciate that. Been waiting for that A-4 C-E that I served for 4 years year's ago.

Make sure you DONT have a A-4 directory inside the A-4 directory (c:\users\YOURUSER\saved games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\a-4e-c\a-4e-c)

Indeed Deadpoetic.

Chief: Not the above but rather: c:\users\YOURUSER\saved games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\a-4e-c

Just as a quick question from someone who doesn’t know any better..

Why is the parking brake such an issue? It would seem to me such a simple thing that would allow starting from the carrier and preventing the sliding. I was able to rearm on a carrier by holding the brake key, but of course I couldn’t restart my engine after shutting it down (and it wouldn’t rearm with the engine running)

Again- just a question, not a complaint. I’ve been having a blast with it for the last couple days.

Thank you for mod! Skyhawk is cool! I want to know have you any manual or docs about A-4? Thank you.

Wheelyjoe has created a "Chuck's-like" manual, posted in another thread, that is very good: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3695827&postcount=42

heclak is also working on a manual, posted that same thread, that is also very good (still WIP): https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3694010&postcount=26

Canopy reflections still glitched

HHmmm.....

So I deleted the original A-4E mod, downloaded and installed V1.01 with the canopy hotfix applied. Now I am getting large white blotches on the canopy as shown in attached images. I have tried deactivating the reactivating the mod in module manager, cleanup and repair of DCS, shadow settings flat, low, medium and high, lense effects with dirt, dirt + flare and off, with no effect.

Strange, as I have watched some YT videos (eg PhilStyle) and his canopy looks perfect with scratches and all showing up. I don't remember seeing scratches at any time so far on my install. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Running latest OB, latest NVidia drivers.

I'll report on the supplied bug reporting site.

Cheers!

Great Mod, thank you.

My question is I play a lot of the MP servers, while I don't use the A4 on the servers, I am getting a intergraty fail for any server I am on (using DCS aircraft) then getting kicked.

Is there anyway around this? so I don't have to delete the mod (which I don't want to do)

Thanks...

Thanks for the publicity. Wheelyjoe's guide might be better for someone who wants all the information at once right now. I'm just documenting notes for myself as I go along with studying the manuals. I'll definitely be updating my notes as I go along but it won't be declared done for quite some time.

Thanks for the nice comment!
