The same goes for IR aircraft lighting. Hopefully when EDGE eventually comes along we might see some progress in these areas. AlphaOneSix Posted January 24, 2014 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Well, I would not go as far as to say that IR flares are *only* visible in IR...they are certainly visible unaided. I will grant that they are not very helpful as flares without NVG's on, but you will definitely know they are there...the flares themselves are quite visible.
