The An-2 is going to be one of those airframes. Like the Huey. It will keep on flying. The simplicity of both designs pays dividends in their longevity within the context of their jobs.

While fighters are always trying to go faster and get more sophisticated, working aircraft don't need that level of sophistication. The Annie will fly for a very, very, very long time.

How long it flies depends on the supply of parts. You can probably fabricate everything you need for the airframe but radial engines are getting expensive to support because not many people use them so there's no economies of scale when manufacturing parts. I have no idea if it's a different story for the An-2's engine in the rest of the world though.

Exactly Fishbed. And I'd add the DC-3 to the list as well, a plane that entered service in 1935 and still flies commercially. Now that's longevity for you
