That is most likely because, unfortunately none of the FC3 aircraft has ground effect implemented (demonstrable fact).

If ground effect was implemented, in MiG-29 for a given AOA at touchdown the speed would easily be like 15 Km/h lower.

You seem to have already tested this. Can you provide some insights?

I could test but have no idea how such a jet would behave IRL thus I could not compare. From what I understand if you hold steady speed and attitude and very low VV the aircraft should slow down or even stop descending about 2m above the ground. But how to test it against that nose lowering behavior cited above?

FWIW, the manual refers to leveling out @ .8 to .5 m above the runway.

If I remember correctely, I maintained 280 Km/h during the test with minimum fuel remaining. I switched on the flight information bar in the cockpit to be able to maintain the speed precisely.

Thx. Have you tested other FC3 aircraft, too? I was assured by other users that the effect is there at least for the F-15C. Looks like I have to do some tests too.

Yes, I have also tested Su-27, Su-33 and F-15. Ground effect is not simulated.

That's really a shame on the PFM. I could not reproduce the effect either.
