just one question:

mission1 elint station strike - briefing picture n°2 shows the elint group (ok)

mission2 enemy depot strike - briefing picture n°2 shows again the elint group (not ok)

mission3 enemy ewr strike - briefing picture n°2 shows mozdok airbase and targets, hangars, control tower, ammo storage etc (not ok)

 

am i missing something ???

 

anyway very good campaign !! :thumbup:

Sorry it’s my fault :( I forget to remove those recon screens. I was trying to load the good screen with the good target when it was selected but I was not able to do it (I’m not a programmer :( )

Next version I will remove them ;) unless someone is able to make the good lua code (targets may have changed since I made these screens )

I can't get this to work sadly, I've installed the US Navy Deck Equipment mod as requested, but when I try to start the campaign I get:

Need modules for load mission: USN-Deckcrew

 

The strange thing is if I go look in the list of installed modules, USN-Deckcrew is listed there. I'm kind of stuck on what to do next really, are you sure this works with the latest OpenBeta?

 

EDIT: no cancel that, deleted it and put it back again and now it's working. The mysteries of DCS shrugs.

Is there a way to remove the requirement for this? The problem is that whilst it adds to the immersion, it absolutely kills my framerate making carrier landings very difficult.

You can edit the base_mission.miz in the init folder and remove every elements on carriers and ships decks then generate a new mission...

 

No problem, that was an easy fix, took 2 minutes :) Yeah for some reason DCS in VR doesn't like lots of static objects. Nothing to do with drawing them oddly, if you pause the sim you get a great framerate, something to do with the AI / physics perhaps.

I just downloaded vs 6 and I am having the same error. I even dl the Navy Equipment mod again, double checked installed.

 

Any idea?

 

EDIT: I don't know how to edit that base.miz. Would you provide one without that mod, pls? I just can't make JSGME to register the mod as installed, although it is there.

 

EDIT 2: Managed to install the Navy Equip manually. Flew the first mission. Is there any way to silence the briefing reading?

Hey, been having a lot of fun with your Hornet Over PG campaign. However you have placed SA-2 batteries without the search radar, they have to visually acquire you to even fire. This makes them literally useless. You need to Add P19 radar to the battery to make em work correctly.

 

Also noticed that the ARM defense script no longer needs the "destroy weapons or they score ballistic hit every time" part. So if you comment it out it still works as intended and missiles don't just vanish into thin air.

Currently flying the Hornet Over Caucasus CVN V2.

 

After ending the 3rd mission I get this error message.

 

Tried restarting the campaign and I get it anyway.

Look at missionscripting.lua file in the script folder :

It must look like this :

-- sanitizeModule('os')

-- sanitizeModule('io')

sanitizeModule('lfs')

 

 

After an update you must put -- back or use OvGME or JSGM to enable the file provided with the campaign :)

New Hornet over PG version : v7 with P19 radar added to SA-2 sites (Thanks to Krag6 ! )

You will have to generate a new first mission with Firstmission.bat file because I forget to do it before uploading the new version, sorry :doh:

Did it, thanks: not sure why but OVGME fails to update the missionscripting.lua so I have to do it manually.

 

By the way on the same version (V6) I had 2 Stennis... is this "normal" ? Attached a track with my super carrier group with twin Stennis

I am flying Tiger over PG and noticed F-14s all blacks, missing the textures, and also the F-4s with european camuflage. Does anyone know what sking they use?

Tried to download all off them from USERS download area.

In the read me you should find this :

I've just started playing the hornet over PG missions. I wanted to add a few more ships to the group and a blackhawk to fly alongside the carrier. I've changed this in the first mission and restarted the campaign. This works for the first mission but for the next it reverts back to the original setup. Is there a way to change this please?

You should first verify that the skin’s names are the good ones for the F-14 and F-4 squadrons in the oob_units. lua in the Init folder. It should be ... If the campaign is started and you don’t want to restart it go to Status folder and look at the same file that should be there...then use the next mission.bat to generate a new mission in the same campaign
