One and the same, in this case. The vfx are another part of the DM.
As stated, placeholder graphics accidentally slipped through to an update. Nothing more to it. It was a woopsie, a mistake. You'll have to wait for a conscientious update.

I couldn't agree more. Some of the effects were probably done quick and easy as placeholders, to fill the gap until the real thing is ready. Criticizing what the developers did in the interim, without any understanding of the development process, is not a quality discussion (to say it diplomatically).

"done quick and easy" yeah sparks and other stuff easy, i can think of much easier, 0.5cal with flak 36 effects, im not buying it.
