Red Flag Training Missions - F-16C

I have so many questions... since I'm new here. Loving the product and learning a lot. I suppose I could scour the forum to understand who you are and how you go about doing this and why you don't ask people to send you some donations at least for your work.

Did you just hack the FA-18 Red Flag stuff and switch things around for the F-16? Is this riddled with bugs and issues such that you don't feel good asking for money? Are you an Eagle Dynamics dev or ex-dev or third-party dev? What docs did you use to put this together? Is this just a labor of love for you?

Seriously, I knew that Red Flag stuff would come out eventually, along with other mission modules, and wasn't expecting much until systems started maturing. Is this how official stuff develops? I mean will it get cleaned up for sale on the ED website? What's the difference in quality between this and a for-sale product? The ED people don't speak much about campaign/mission development. I guess they hope people will join a MP server and just have random fun there with their pals landing on carriers etc?

I don't get how this DCS economy works. Seems a tad dysfunctional to me. Good on ya' for making stuff. I assume this all takes intricate knowledge of stuff that's poorly documented to put together properly.

Well, I'll play the campaign before I scratch my head too much. Thanks for the effort! We'll all help you debug it.

I'm not a ED developer , just a guy who spend free time on the mission editor and sharing the result for free.

The campaign is a direct conversion of the F18 Red Flag campaign I made, a mission is missing cause HARMs are not implemented yet.

Question: Two times now I have attempted and failed at the ACM (AIM-9s) mission. Both times, both aggressor F-16s were eliminated, and for sure I did not break the 100ft deck nor did I enter the container. Each time, Showtime called terminate and was instructed to proceed to waypoint six. Both times, when I crossed waypoint 6 on return, I received a text cue to check the ATIS. I switched to UHF 20 to grab the information, and F10 to select the correct one. However, there was no cue to contact approach, tower or ground the rest of the way home and both times I failed and had to re-do the previous BFM mission. Even in the absence of these cues, I pressed the space bar on each channel and no comms were made.

Any idea what's going on?

Will check contact approach trigger.

Always use END MISSION button at the end of a failed mission. It's not related to my campaign , just DCS that work as that.

Thanks for the missions! Having fun flying them.

A small remark:

"Day 2 - AAR and BFM training

Try air refueling and then engage Springfield 1 over FEBA guns only!"

This mission is actually 2v2 which makes it ACM not BFM. Would be cool if you remove the wingmens and make it really BFM.

Hello! Campaign updated!

FIXED:

-some triggers here and there

ADDED:

- SEAD Training mission

- new inverted color Mission Data Cards for night missions

NOTE:

SEAD mission loadout is with CBUs while waiting for a proper HARM implementation for the Viper. I will be hard , very hard , but consider this mission ready for the future :)

Yup, 1 vs 1 should be the deal for a BFM.

I would love a "report bingo" option in the F10 menu for this mission, as I frequently end up with too little fuel to get home after killing the first F-5. Is the mission scored as a failure if you don't down both the aggressors? If I try to leave the fight when bingo or winchester, I have to replay the night escort time and time again, which is a bit of nuisance. Enjoying the campaign otherwise :)

IIRC in the F10 menu there is the "Terminate" option , so you can brake the fight and RTB.

Mission objective for success is to land safely , trigger Nellis Ground voice over for parking and be on the taxiway alpha.

You should see "mission complete" message once conditions are matched.

Put all files in the folder DCS/Mods/aircraft/F16/Missions/Campaigns

You can both use the campaign or play the single missions alone.

For the steam users, is this the DCS install folder in steamapps or is this the one in users saved games folder?

hello and thank you for this campaign.

when i play the mission "a day over feba" i can't communicate with the flight on ch3 comm1 and the frequencies on the kneeboard don't match the radio uhf so nothing happens anymore and nobody attacks. can you control these frequencies and tell me if it's me who's failing badly ?

Thank you.

Ouch , sorry, that mission is a WIP and I have included it by mistake.

It wont work or at least you will se a mass launch of Red and Blue forces but there is no real mission in it.
