Ryno1217
Im having trouble with something hopefully someone here can shed some light on. I want to set up an AI Escort that does the following: Escorts player/unit until a given way point then stops escort and flies to an orbit point Orbits until certain conditions are met once conditions are met, the AI restarts the escort on the given player/unit. Now I figured out the commands and triggers to get this to work, but the issue I have is that when the escort command stops, the AI flies to its original start point (way point 0) before going to the orbit point. Obviously, this doesn't work when the start point is 50+ miles away from the orbit point....so I'm drawing a blank on how to get the AI not to fly to way point 0 when the escort stops. Any suggestions??? You will have to do the same for any other escort commands. Regards, Ian. Ryno1217
Thanks. I will try when I’m back in front the computer. Ryno1217
You will have to add a "switch waypoint command -> Orbit waypoint" directly after you escort command at the original start waypoint. This doesnt seem to work. AI still flies to original start waypoint (WPT 0) before heading to orbit WPT (WPT 1 in the attached mission). If you wouldnt mind, please look at the attached mission and see if I did something wrong. This is very basic to show what I am trying to do. There is stop conditions as well as triggers set up to get this task done. Thanks in advance! Ryno Edit: Got it working. You were on the right path. The only difference is that I added the "switch waypoint" command BEFORE the escort command so now once the escort stops, the AI flies direct to orbit WPT. Thank you for the guidance.
