Poor performance with oculus rift

Hi,

I get my VR 3 weeks ago.

And found that i have poor performence in DCS.

I can see the cocpit txt and the fps are very low.

I tray disable ASW also simpeling on 2.5 on VR and on DCS.

Tray playing around withe the graphics settings but noting help.

My rig :

Asus maximus hero viii mobo

Intel i7 6700k on 4.2ghz

16 gb Ram on 3200 mhz

Gtx 1070ti with oc to 2150

Ssd

No mods

Looks like dcs is far away to be play with VR.

Many many threads about this, use the search. Short version: MSAA-> Off, shadows -> flat or off, view distance -> medium or low, VSYNC -> OFF

Read all the post and also tray whatvu say.

No change.

Turn your sampling to 1.8 in one place only 2.5 is way too high, with the other setting mentioned here you should ne fine. Just use one Pixel density setting upgrade.

You have to play with the settings - I mean, start with the lowest possible and work your way up, one type of setting at once, so you can judge the difference. I prefere having the Pixel Density set to 1.0, and multisampling turned on, as this gives better spotting. With higher PD you won't be able to spot any aircraft, as the dots are not visible any more. Especially a problem in normandy with radarless WWII aircraft.

Are you using DCS 1.5 or 2.1?

I hear 2.1 has very bad performance in VR though I did not try myself.

I have tried 1.5 about 6months ago and I too found performance very bad in VR so I uninstalled. And I'm using a GTX1080turbo. Instead I play warthunder in sim mode (better than nothing) and must say performance is absolutely perfect . I know warthunder is not the best sim but man have they ever optimized so well (I NEVER EVER get fps drops no matter how many planes,map etc...)

For now i tray only on 1.5 version. As i remmber the 2.1 is much better but not tray it deep yet with vr.

I down the simpleing on the sim from 2.5 to 1.8 and also disable simpeling on the oculus debug tool.

24 on ground , 40-45 on the air for airplan. Heli its about 20 on low level flight.
