Virtual Carrier Wing 6!!

Welcome to Virtual Carrier Air Group 6 for DCS!

CVW-6-Website.png

VCVW6 was formed in March of 2018, with the intent to deliver excellence, camaraderie, and as close to real world aerial practice as possible while enjoying the combat experience offered in DCS World. We are a 18 and over group. We strive to fly with the same precision and professionalism seen by modern combat pilots all over the world today.

VCVW6 is currently made up of four squadrons:

VMFA-286 Arrowheads (F/A-18C Hornet)

VF-187 Raptors (F-14A/B Tomcat)

VMA-238 Seadogs (AV8B N/A Harrier)

HSM-67 Green Devils (UH-1 Huey)

Flight usually take place around 8pm MST on most days of the week. This will change as membership grows. We are not a hardcore Mil SIM group. However, we do have a rank structure and expect you to follow the Air Groups policies and procedures. The command structure is primarily used for group administration and flight operations. This doesn’t mean you will find anyone barking orders here. Higher ranks indicate Administrators and squadron leaders. Promotion, is given through completing the recruit phase and then through service time, participation in both flight ops and development. Development can consist of policies and procedures, livery creation, missions, or any other method of group contribution.

As, the group grows, we will introduce new squadrons. We are a very open minded group. Essentially, if you can get on and off from a carrier, we’ll consider adding it to the air wing.

We also offer in depth and interactive training lessons for all members with both video and practical instruction to help you get the most out of your air frame of choice. For an example of how this training will go and what you can expect please follow this link:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3VY4ObSBiPjHJ9Z5NJ1sAw?view_as=subscriber

We have our own training server, TS3, Discord, and SRS!!

If you have any questions feel free to PM Repth or PACMAN (OverKill) on the ED forums or you can Contact Us direct through the website.

http://www.virtualcarrierwing6.com

If you like to train hard, have fun, work as a team, and continuously learn then we may be the group for you!

Are you Ready?

RECRUITMENT HAS BEEN RE-OPENED

UK Navalopps

Flying from ships deployed worldwide, the aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm provide the UK with influence over land and sea, and assist in the wide range of roles undertaken by the Royal Navy from disaster relief to landing Royal Marines onto a hostile shore.

UK Navalops

is a virtual combat air group for DCS World. Our main squadrons fly the Razbam Harrier. We also have attack and transport helicopter squadrons flying the Black Shark, the Gazelle and the UH1 Huey. Each of these squadrons are based on real Naval squadon within the Fleet Air Arm. We have a rank structure in line with the real royal Navy, where pilots can work their way through the ranks and lead their own squadron.

We use a web based flight logging software using VABase. All pilots are to manually file a Pirep after each flight. This can be for both online and offline flights. all Pireps are to be checked and accepted by Squadron Commanders. Pilots aren't tied to one aircraft type. Here at Uk Navalops pilots can fly any aircraft in out fleet and submit a pirep. So if you fancy an offline Huey flight delivering mail to the carrier then thats fine. Here we focus on freedom and enjoyment.Pilots can fly as often as they like although our main missions are Saturday nights.

Squadrons

800 Naval Air Squadron

801 Naval Air Squadron

46000807594_6268c7a0c4_o.png

We currently have 800 NAS & 801 NAS Flying the Razbam Harrier. We do use all the current maps for DCS

Commando Helicopter Force is active but doesnt have dedicated members, however this could change, numbers permitting.

We are looking for experienced Harrier pilots to help with training.

Dont worry if you have no experience because we have an fun training package set up. plus we dont shove people in a training squadron for three months before they get to fly combat missions. new pilots will be assigned a mentor who will help them through it all.

If you are interested then please go to our website

and fill in the short application.

If you need any more info please dont hesitate to contact me by pm on here.

See you in the skies

*Delta Force is Recruiting*

Fun,Friendly and awesome.

We are a group for casual and Non-casual pilots that are looking for people to fly with and be part of something cool in DCS World.

We run a fun ranking system and missions weekly.

We are running two missions every Saturday:

Timezone 1: 1000 Zulu / UTC (great for EU based players)

Timezone 2: 2000 Zulu / UTC (great for EU and US based players)

To compare those to your local time just add your location here:

TZ1: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20201105T100000&p1=tz_z

TZ2: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20201105T200000&p1=tz_z

Aside from that we have members across (nearly) all time zones.

Delta Force current have over 35 active pilots not counting the non active.

We use Discord for hangouts and announcements,

however we only use Simple Radio standalone while flying for the immersion and maximum efficiency.

Air to Air or Air to Ground we have room for you.

Feel free to visit our website at https://deltaforcesquadron.wixsite.com/deltaforcesquadron

If you are interested to join Delta Force please join our discord group and

5 Virtual Wing Canada / 5e Escadre virtuelle du Canada

Our group has already been featured on this page but I feel like we now have quite a bit more to offer.

  • 5 vWing Canada is an organisation that puts the pursuit of realism at the forefront of its activities; don't expect crazy dogfights every night. This doesn't mean that we require our members to know everything about real life procedures, nor do we claim knowing everything. We simply find pleasure in learning as much as we can about the real deal and using it to improve immersion.

  • 5 vWing is a bilingual (French/English) organisation: Members are free to use the language of their choice to communicate with others and for inner flight radio communication. However, since realism is at the core of what we try to accomplish, English is used for radio communications between flights and with ATC and tactical controllers (JTAC, ATC, GCI). We have lots of unilingual anglophone members that enjoy the group as much as everybody else.

We now feature:

  • A complete 2 step training program for F-18, A-10C and Huey pilots.

  • A free (member only) growing online learning plateform based on teachable. 20 lessons that will teach everything from the basics of aerodrome operations to Air Policing procedures, BVR tactics and more !

  • Possibility to learn how to act as a GCI controller, JTAC or white cell member using LotATC and Combined Arms.

  • Not so fond of the boat ? Finally a group with some Sea AND Land Based Hornet action !

Training is normally held on Monday and Wednesday at 2000hrs Eastern Time Zone (ET). We use the free Black Sea Map for most of our operations. We also recently moved from Univers Radio to SRS, removing the need to purchase a program to fly with us.

We are in our 9th year of uninterrupted operation.

Just as a FYI..

When the F-16 arrives CVW8 will be expanding slightly to include the 8th Fighter Wing. We'll have the 35th and 80th FS and do combined/large force training, exercises and missions with the rest of CVW8 but will be a separate entity in terms of training and command structure.

vCVW-13 Recruiting

Small band of dedicated DCS enthusiast looking to expand into an air wing and are looking for similar easy-going new members for both the F18 and F14 (when released) and If membership permits more squadrons will be stood up. So, what is different about us.

  1. We operate mainly in the evening with most members online within GMT +3 to GMT –2. However, we do have members that fly with us outside of those time zones, if you are flying around that time then that is good.
  2. We have our own dedicated server, TeamSpeak and operate our own Discord.
  3. All training provided to rival other established air wings.
  4. New start up unit so you will have a say within the group.
  5. We are also wanting more GCI’s, ATC and LSO’s.
  6. Mature content advisory as we have a fair few Veterans in the group.
  7. Over 18’s please as per no 6.
  8. Predominantly English speakers.

About the Group

We make decisions as a group and at the moment we are choosing what squadrons we want within vCVW-13 this maybe a retired air wing but our squadrons are what we want to fly, what we find looks awesome. As stated above we do have a mature membership and it can get a little salty but it is all in fun. We also have a non MILSIM section that caters for the more casual player that is into video production and associated production projects.

Wildcats

We are trying something a little different with the Wildcats that is a more relaxed fly anything approach that is looking to make high quality videos and operate under an in-house system along the lines of a PMC (Private Military Contractor). Members are working on this system to show reasoned progression to justify achieved or failed mission objectives and there funding outcomes. This should be a little different from what is normally on offer within the DCS community.

So, if you fancy a good laugh and operating to a high standard get in contact and I will sort Discord access.

Tophatters

Virtual squadron joining naval aviation and history fans. F/A-18C Hornet is the main plane of the Tophatters in the DCS World at the moment. All of us can fight it in group or alone against air, ground or naval targets. This doesn't but mean that we are not flying other planes or even helicopters. We are learn together, share experiences and help each other to become successful and get fun during our cooperation flights in online missions and campaigns. We are looking forward when our squadron will get new F-14 Tomcat and F-4 Phantom II.

Do you want to share you knowledges and experience, or not against to learn something new for yourself ?

Do you wish to invite us to a tournament or to find somebody for coop flights in a DCS event ?

Do you want just to talk with us or become one of us ?

65th vAGRS going public

Hello DCS Pilots, GCI controllers, Combined Arms users, and ATC personnel,

Over the last year the virtual 65th has flown weekly sorties to build our capabilities in the tactical skill-set. With 12 pilots spun up on tactical employment, we feel ready to open our doors to the public, and see what interests is out there from the wider community in either flying with us, or flying against us in a squadron inter-fly.

Many of our pilots have flown together for at least 3 years, but in April of last year we made the full-time transition to DCS and coalesced as the Virtual 65th Squadron -- in honor of the now disbanded 65th AGRS at Nellis AFB, whose mission and mentality is dear to our hearts -- producing better fighter pilots.

Our pilots in the 65th vAGRS have a strong background in real world aviation, and real world military aviation. Five of our pilots are either current or former USAF pilots -- two of them are retired fighter pilots. Another six of our members hold current pilot licenses from the FAA, and several are involved in the aviation industry as airline and cooperate pilots, or work for major aviation firms. Our pilots bring real world experience to DCS from a wide variety of aircraft, including the: T-6A, T-33, T-37, T-38, T-6 Tex II, T-1, F-86H, F-100, F-4E, C-130, KC-135R, the CRJ, and a wide variety of corporate and GA aircraft. Our pilots have flown combat in the skies over Vietnam, and multiple conflicts in the Middle East.

Our squadron is devoted to the realistic employment of aircraft in DCS -- that means realistic in terms of administration, tactics, communications, and airmanship. It also means we are cognizant of the limitations of simulators, and of the real world constraints that life puts on us -- this is a hobby for us, and we don't believe that we can quickly learn the tactical skill-set that takes real-world fighter pilots about 3 years of full time study and practice to get a handle on. That being said, we strive to operate at a high level of realism.

Now, to the details -- Our group flies its regular sorties on Tuesday nights at 0300 zulu time, which is 9pm Central US, 7pm Pacific US time. We have several pilots from Europe, so we also keep our server up 24/7 and work to fly with our European partners throughout the week. We normally launch 8-10 jets on our Tuesday night "GO's." We fly a variety of aircraft, but mostly the F-18, F-5, M2K, and F-15C. We don't want to constrain our members to one particular aircraft, so we are accommodating to what people want to fly. Learning the tactical skill=set is more important to us than learning a particular jet.

Those who apply to fly with us will have the opportunity to get to know us on a "dollar ride," and see if personalities and interests are a good fit. After that, we put students through a 5 ride Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) modeled on the real-world USAF course. At the completion of the course, students can decide if they want to stick around for further flying with the v65th as aggressor pilots, or take the lessons learned to the wider DCS community. We are about building better virtual fighter pilots through sharing our experience. Kill pixels tactically, with teammates.

You can reach us through our website: https://v65th.wordpress.com/

Here are two videos of us employing as a 3 ship and a 2 ship:

Looking forward to being part of the community -- both producing better pilots, and flying against current squadrons to meet their aggressor needs.

Best,

Dances

40th_Test_Wing_LogoSOCsmaller_zps2dveqcrk.png

Welcome to the 40th Special Operations Command.

40thsoc.org

We are a DCS based wing, flying multiple platforms of aircraft.

A little history of the 40th, we are what used to be the 27th Virtual Fighter Wing flying BMS Falcon. In late March early April 2018, we discussed the possibility of switching over to DCS due to a lot of positive developments in that simulation. Once the release of 2.5 was live and we could all fly it we fell in love. We decided that DCS was going to be our new home for good.

A-10C Warthog

AV-8B Harrier

UH-1H Huey

SA-432 Gazelle

F-18 Hornet

F-14 Tomcat

Combined Arms

KA-50 Black Shark

We will be actively support all the air frames above and allow new pilots to fly them, provided they can pass the required checkrides to get qualified on that airframe. In addition we currently run the Caucasus, Persian Gulf and Nevada maps with most training being conducted in Nevada. So if you are looking for a lot of fun and even more challenges you have come to the right place.

The 40th SOC is a group of like minded friends, that enjoy flying DCS in a tactical way to mimic real world operations.

We have our own server that is used everyday of the week for training and operations

The following Code of conduct is set to keep the above and our core values in mind.

1. Demonstrate good manners, courtesy and considerations to others.

2. Never attack or question the motives of another member.

3. During mission briefs only flight leads may talk, after they are done talking they will open the floor to questions, comments and concerns.

4. One person talks at a time, DO NOT try to talk over others, LISTEN to the person speaking.

5. DO NOT dominate conversations, interrupt or participate in side conversations or make any unnecessary remarks.

6. During missions we expect professionalism from all participants. The use of proper brevity is encouraged.

7. Once the mission is over we do a full tacview debrief, you are expected to stay around during this time.

8. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior or any other breach of the code of conduct may result in suspension from participation or dismissal from the 40th SOC

The 40th SOC has a zero tolerance policy for abuse, the use of derogatory remarks, personal insults, threats or any form of racism or discrimination.

SATAL gold league squadron recruiting

The Paddle Pushers is a competitive (however fairly informal and relaxed) SATAL gold team. We started flying together in February, and have been building our team, strategies, and coordination since.

Our primary focus is SATAL, however we also fly on servers like Blue Flag, Growling Sidewinder, 104th, and sometimes just have fun on JDF guns.
