OP read my mind asking for a livery list.

I'm hoping for an East German livery.

Hopefully ED will add GDR as a country as well as W. Germany!

and Albania and Czechoslovakia as well as Iceland, Luxembourg and Portugal so we can have NATO vs Warsaw Pact Cold War scenarios.

On the MiG-19P and MiG-19PM interceptor fighters, the monochrome radar antennas diversified the one-color silver color. They were covered with radioframe enamel of green color. It should be noted that amateur in the color of the antennas could not be. The use for this purpose of other enamels would lead to a significant decrease in the range of the radar.

Internal surfaces looked more colorful. The aluminum parts of the inner kit were often covered only with yellow colored ALG-1 primer. By acting in the 1950s. rules, the cockpit surface could be painted either in gray with A-14 enamel, or in dark green with A-15 enamel. The same enamel A-14 also covered the rack and niche chassis.

Units and pipelines of the fuel system were painted yellow (oil enamel A-6), oil systems — brown (A-8). Elements and assemblies of the hydraulic system are blue enamel A-9, oxygen blue blue A-10, air black A-12, fire fighting equipment red A-13. The latter was used for affixing marks.

Shortly before the start of serial production of the MiG-19, the USSR introduced a new “Provision on the Identification Badges of Air Force Planes”. Thus, with the exception of prototypes, all of the MiG-19 carried identification marks, uniformly applied under the new scheme.

The identification marks were: the main ones (a sign of state affiliation) —the red five-pointed star with white (or aluminum) and red edging and additional ones — side numbers, stripes, etc.

The stars were deposited in six positions: on the wing consoles from the top and bottom and on both sides of the vertical tail. Places of their application and size strictly regulated. On airplanes with a low stabilizer position, to which the MiG-19 undoubtedly belonged, the star on the vertical tail was located in the center of the total area of the keel and rudder, so that “its ends were located from the edges of the keel and rudder around 50-150 mm. On the bearing surface (both above and below) "the distance from its center to the end of the wing must be equal ... on airplanes with swept wings - 0.1-0.15 span of the wing". With its rays (without edging), the star should not have entered the ailerons. On the latter were allowed to apply only white and red edging. Considering all these conditions, the diameter of the circle described around the star was chosen as the closest one from the series 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1800 and 2100 mm. Based on the size, for the MiG-19 this diameter was 1000 mm, the width of the white border was 30 mm, and the red one was 10 mm, but there were also stars with a diameter of 800 mm.

The board number under the new rules was two-digit. On airplanes with an elongated nose, it was applied in front of the wing. The number had to fit into a "rectangle, the upper and lower borders of which are at a distance of 100-250 mm from the bypass of the lower and upper parts of the fuselage." Considering all these conditions, the height of the digits was chosen from the closest 400, 600, 900,

1200 and 1500 mm. For the MiG-19, this height was 900 mm. The width of the figures was 2/3, and the thickness of the lines was 1/6 of their height. It was allowed to paint the tail numbers in red, blue or yellow. Regardless of the color, all the figures had a black edging 10-15 mm wide. All aircraft of the same part of the aircraft were put in order, starting with "01", with the same color. The color of the number indicated that the aircraft belonged to the unit (air regiment) and was determined by the order of the commander of the formation (air division), the number itself was assigned to the subunit.

At the time of the exercise, in order to distinguish aircraft of the same type, one of the parties participating in the exercise was allowed to put temporary identification marks on their cars. The “position” established for fighters as such marks a strip of dark color 200 mm wide, applied to the wings above and below along the ribs. The distance between the stripes was equal to the width of one strip. For their application it was allowed to use only easily washable paints.

All additional and temporary marks were applied directly to the parts.

Thus, the entire color of the MiG-19 was strictly regulated by various rules and regulations. However, there are no rules without exceptions. They met in the color of the MiG-19.

According to the memoirs of the pilot V.G. Ivannikov, who served in the early 1960s. in the GVSG, in their regiment (the 35th IAP) they overtook from an aircraft unit stationed in the north of the USSR, several unusually painted "MiGs". Their upper surfaces were covered with dark blue-gray paint, and their lower surfaces - blue. For their color cars got the nickname "mustangs."

Another more notable exception is the MiG-19 from the E.A. aerobatic team. Savitsky, who had the upper surface, painted in red. The flight numbers of these aircraft were blue.

Since it seems no official PAK livery will be included, I really hope someone will paint it in the near future...

I am expecting the PAK and Egypt Air Force will be included in the MiG-19S version that should come later.

That's a camo given by the museum of the Luftwaffe, thus historically incorrect. All East German MiG-19 had only bare metal skins.
True, that is why it will be part of, what I call, fictious skins. Some people have to be aware that the model is a Mig-19P, not a - PM, neither a - S, J-6 etc . And all operational - 19P only had metal skins..

Not given by the museum, 335 was gateguard at Preschen until 1980, later at traditional flightline at Bautzen still in this camo.

Speaking of the Czechoslovak livery... just seen this on the internets...

:D

Just saying but... why do people have tendency to switch the blue and red? Not the first time I've seen it...

Remember kids, Blue always forward, red either down or inwards.
