DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer by Eagle Dynamics

Bhè anche se strano sono 2 aerei differenti, con capacità e suite avionica differente. hanno anche armamenti differenti... cmq se han detto che le campagne sarebbero state compatibili lo saranno, alla fine l'A-10C II ha roba in più ma ha anche ciò che ha l'A-10C I, cmq a fine mese toccheremo con mano, manca poco.

Non vedo l’ora sono molto curioso di vedere di nuovo in azione il facocero.

Spe, tempo fa dissero che le missioni e campagne sarebbero state compatibili anche con il II..

Sarà un po' come l'l-39: versione c e versione za entrambe nello stesso modulo. Chi non aggiorna avrà solo la prima delle due versioni e ne riceverà pure gli upgrade, sarà come possedere "mezzo modulo".

Non riesco ad interpretare il tuo "mezzo modulo", se lo dici come cosa negativa o come cosa positiva. (sia chiaro non sto polemizzando con te, sto solo dicendo che non ho capito la tua affermazione)

Personalmente il comportamento di ED mi sembra molto buono ha aggiornato un modulo che ha quasi 10 anni, ne propone una nuova versione che sarà venduto come upgrade (quindi a prezzo scontato) ai possessori del vecchio e continuerà comunque a supportare il vecchio con gli aggiornamenti.

A me sembra che chi non aggiorna avrà un modulo e chi aggiorna ne avrà due!

Quello che invece io non riesco a capire e' la differenza di avionica e di armi:

Sotto questo punto di vista aspetto che che A-10C II sia esattamente 'lA-10C con (corpose) aggiunte, non una cosa totalmente diversa. Mi aspetto anche ai veterano dellA-10C la conversione al nuovo modulo sia decisamente più semplice (dovrebbe bastare imparare ad usare le nuove armi).

Questo perché in questi mesi ci hanno raccontato che e' un upgrade, non un robo nuovo.

Assolutamente positiva! Dico "mezzo modulo" perchè il vecchio a-10c è metà dei contenuti del nuovo a-10c II, che avrà due suite a-10c invece che una. D'altra parte a che sarebbe servito l'upgrade grafico gratuito del vecchio modulo se poi non avessero continuato a supportarlo? Ottima scelta di ED, la migliore possibile direi!

P.S. non credo sarà da imparare tutto da capo; la startup e gran parte dell'avionica sarà uguale, ma le nuove armi avranno i loro sistemi e ci sarà una nuova logica dell'hotas... faremo quello che hanno fatto i veri piloti di a-10 quando gli aereoplani sono stati aggiornati: non è che li hanno messi a pilotare degli f-22 o dei c-130, sempre di a-10 si tratta :D

Many of the fixes and updates will be across our entire A-10 family, this can include the upgrade, the original A-10C and in some cases the A-10A. These fixes will be made and added free of charge. The paid version is for weapons and systems that required extra research, development and implementation to add.

 

What happens to my original A-10C if I buy the upgrade?

It will still be available to use as you remember it today (with addition fixes of course). You will still be able to use all the content and such you had before, you will simply have another module called the A-10C II in the game to use.

This will be up to content creators if they choose to update their campaigns to the new module, other wise they will work as normal.

 

Why are you doing this, shouldn't you be working on the Hornet, Viper and other core issues?

 

The DCS: A-10C Warthog is an important module to DCS world, keeping it updated and relevant is very important to us, and to our users. This project is only being worked on by a few devs that were instrumental in the original A-10C, it has not affected any other project or core issues being addressed.

 

Where is my warning horn gone!?!?

 

From valued feedback of a real life A-10C pilot and huge DCS World fan, we have determined that the horn was never operating as it should. It should only sound during tests, and during activation of the gear handle. All other emergencies are only shown by the Master Caution light, no horn.

 

What about the missing thrust?

As above, the same valued feedback was given, and we determined that there were no issues with thrust, but issues with when wing stall and buffet was experienced. We have now tuned this, and the A-10C is performing much better than it ever has. These changes should be seen across all A-10s in the game. Dear all,

 

Based on feedback from legitimage SMEs and verifiable data, we have updated the the flight dynamics:

 

1- Buffet and wingrock no longer set in right at chopped tone. You can now retain nose authority at initial chopped tone. However, if you were to continue to increase AoA while in chopped tone, you eventually get buffet, wingrock, and stall.

 

2- Available G before chopped tone was increased by 1 G. As such, if you encountered chopped tone at 2 G, it will now manifest at 3 G under the same condition.

 

Together, we and the SMEs believe the A-10C will fly in a more realistic manner with improved performance.

Anche perchè volendo uno può sempre tenerlo lì e continuare a volare con la vecchia versione, in attesa che risolvano i bugs della nuova.

P.S. un EA a prezzo stracciato comunque ha senso, uno se lo prende anche se incompleto per sostenere lo sviluppo; sono certi EA a prezzo pieno a fronte di moduli released venduti in sconto che suonano un po' strani...
