johnv2pt0
Hello all, I'm pleased to announce that VTAG is opening up it's server to the public. The public server mission is much different than our in house operations. This is to foster competitive play in a more realistic setting while keeping a less complicated mission that will be more stable and enjoyable for all. Here are the basics: Novo VS Maykop. Each side has a kill box in the center of the combat area plus infrastructure near the enemy's airfield. Once all three objectives are destroyed, a winner is declared, and the mission will restart about 5 minutes later. Regular status updates will notify the player of the overall situation. Because of the differences between coalition equipment, different tactics will likely be used by the sides. Also, some "sim-ism" disparity has been compensated for without breaking the gameplay via different mechanisms. External views disabled. Fog of war. Coalition specific equipment. Some restrictions on weaponry to foster better gameplay (only SARH missiles for CAP and in restricted numbers, restricted numbers of mavericks and vikhers, etc) Protected refueling operations for Blue. Enforced. No Taxiway takeoffs. Enforced via scripts. Dynamic Wx. Aircraft: Blue: A-10C x6, SU-25A x2 (Georgian partners), F-86 x4, F-15C x2 (Only 2...once destroyed gone forever), UH-1H x8. Red: SU-25T x8, Mig-21Bis x4, SU-27 x2 (Only 2...once destroyed gone forever), KA-50 x4, Mi-8 x4. This is new for us and thus the mission is very simple at present. I'm sure the mission will evolve over time with a possibility of new content to come assuming stress tests are passed. Any feedback is appreciated and will be considered. Blooze
Many do not realize that you can set up a free non commercial Teamspeak server. This can be installed on your server computer and as long as the server is running and the TS3 server is active it would provide a free TS3 server that could be used for your public server clients totally independent of your squad TS3 server. Click HERE for details. I think it may make your public server more attractive to those that enjoy the benefit of voice comms. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Ultra
Looks cool  Those F-86's are gonna have a hard time though. Weakest A-A weaponry and no RWR. What time zone is the server in?

johnv2pt0
Small update to our server. The blue tanker has been moved so as not to be so close to the red objective area. Also, we have set up a Teamspeak server. Information is updated in the original post. TS3 Server 71.119.124.108 password: "dcs"
Blooze
Just a suggestion, You may want to show your Teamspeak info in the mission description so folks can see it when going through the server list. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
