It’s a really nice aircraft, very simple and easy to learn, its only fault is that there is little content for it, just one paid campaign and creating your own missions is a bit hard because DCS doesnt have support units from the era (ground vehicles, ainplanes, etc).

I loved it tough, and its nice to then progress on to the MiG-19, then the MiG-21 and then the MiG-29 .. giving a interesting experience of historical progress on fighter development.

A very nice, quality module, a lot of work and passion went into this one.

Unfortunately it is hindered by complete lack of content from that period. You can dogfight the Sabre, strafe some WWII trucks if you have Assets pack, and that's about it. But if you like learning new aircraft, it's worth the price.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil T-50CM, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

This is a very well made module, go ahead.

As folks above said, not too much content for it and I have to say I mostly use it on aerobatics servers but despite that I still recommend a purchase.

First time you take off and keep your nose up until 15500m you get this feeling "who the hell need afterburners" (until you realise you're not THAT fast).

Remember to use airbrakes when diving, you'll notice why.

Not that I disagree, but you can also fight the P-51 and the B-52 as contemporary aircraft.

With some imagination you can fight B-17's as well, which is great fun in my opinion.

If you like a challenge you can dogfight most cold war era fighters. The MiG-15 stayed in service for a very long time in some airforces....

Also, you can resort to using User's Mods, like the B-29, the C-47, etc; to flesh out the missions background, like I did on this set of Missions for the MiG-15:

As far as Jets go, i own mig21,mig19 and now the mig15.

I fly with ffb and can tell you .....what a blast to fly. For me, with ffb its the most difficult to fly but really rewarding. The Mig19 feels like nothing compared to the 15.

Get it!!!

Absolutely worth it, this thing is pure joy to fly... and that 37mm cannon alone is enough reason to get it. Try to be the underdog and go hunting some ground units with that, including Shilkas and Strelas. Just be fast, but not too fast. Very rewarding. Every single impact of those gun shells on something on the ground will be reflected in your face by a very big grin for sure.

Despite the lack of a proper Korea environment, I can't imagine owning DCS World without the MiG-15 and F-86. Two iconic aircraft whose main claim to fame was fighting each other at high altitudes. Realistic or not, DCS World takes two airplanes that are very similar on paper and makes each one a unique, enjoyable experience.
