Asus Z390 Code

Recommended Posts

hi,

you need to search for "top tier z390 vrm on google"

https://www.overclock.net/forum/27657582-post2156.html#/topics/1638955?page=216&gid=1&pid=1

asus motherboards like the formula XI are awesome but IMHO the asrock motherboards like the taichi and taichi ultimate are better as they have better VRM.

Just think that an asrock z170 OC Formula is still used for Overlcock challenges in the oc community as they mod it to make it compatible with intel 8th series .

The new Taichi ultimate is considered one of the best motherboards in the world,

I've used asus motherboards only for about 20 years and never had problems at all, of course dont choose the cheaper or crap models like the strix

On my current system I have a asrock z370 taichi and I can overlock my 8700k to 5.0 ghz in 10 secons with no issue at all.

Also the asus XI apex is a fantastic motherboard.

p.s. : check this link as well

I am looking to get a motherboard for the i9 9900K which will not be overclocked.

I heard Asus boards are garbage because of the VRM I like the Maximus Xi Code

Are Asus boards reliable and well made?

Should I stay away and what should I get if so?

If you absolutely will not overclock, it doesn't matter what board you get. Anything will do as long as it's compatible with your new CPU.

The VRM on any compatible mobo will do the trick just fine. The reason for 'high end' VRMs on mobos is to allow maximum overclocking, where power delivery under varying load becomes really finicky.

No overclocking? No worries.
