ACOGuru
I have opening the port 10308 (or whatever it is) in order to host a small server with a friend, but it's left me questioning just how safe that is for my internet. Does anyone know the possible implications or safety mechanisms ED/DCS has in place to prevent any malpractice? HiJack
It's generally safe. You should however make sure to have a updated OS and also Antivirus running.
MAXsenna
Install DCS server on a VM, and you both connect to it. Then you'll be really safe, and even make use of more cores on your computer. HiJack
If you want to be completely secure you can rent a VPS server online and run the server instance there. Just make sure to order a server that is sufficient!
