ok, so what is the first move now?  The old way was to capture bases so, the first move was to get a foothold on the continent.  This doesn't seem to be an option now so, I'm at a loss as to what is the best thing to do to move the scenario along

Once there's a foothold, you can start dispatching convoys to near by field bases (ALGs) and capture them.

Then you can takeoff from those bases and attack deeper airbases and factories of the German army and Luftwaffe

How do you recapture the lost bases?

You can basically recapture with convoys from red bases to blue bases.

Guys, after the last update, new airfields appeared on the Normandy map at the narrowest point of the canal - we kindly ask you to use them so that you can cross the canal and capture it. Also, please restart the war - new airfields have also appeared in England, due to the bottleneck for flights everything will become much more interesting - I flew on your server for a long time, in my opinion it is the most interesting for piston aircraft.
