I would like to chime in here as well;

Our server sees almost 30 people at peak ours daily, and we are experiencing the same exact crash log:

What scripts are you using?

How big is your miz file?

I used to run CTLD, CSAR scripts, and temporarilly disabled them, then I slimmed down my miz from 8MB to 2MB by using compressed images and SFX only. I also removed custom kneeboards.

Seems more stable now than before, but it just might be the lack of those scripts don't draw in helo pilots to do anything on the server anymore.

More stable, so no more weapons.dll crashes then ?

Still getting the same crashlog, but it's less often. I think we just need to wait it out until they address it. They did manage to address ground vehicles on-road crash before.

I think someone mentioned they're looking into it, I wouldn't worry too much. Try disabling some scripts or modules you think might be causing it for now.

If you disabled CTLD and CSAR, and you still get it then its not them causing it

Would it be happening because there are now less people playing on your server?

I use a couple of MOOSE functions basically spawning some AI planes and ground target units, nothing too complex

My solution was to revert the server to the previous release 1.5.7.9459.362

Did another test trapping missile hacks, i was watching the only player on the server and he didn't do anything weird. I noticed every log posted here has this 'event:type=relinquished' before the crash.. should be a clue i guess.

Guys... Start the server. You have the detailed logs.

Jump into a plane... Simulate a connection loss...

( drop internet or hard close client in Windows).

Does that generate the crash?

What type of missions/features do you have?

We have a bit of everything, and we used to also support WW2 and Korean War aircraft/missions.

The only thing we don't have are oil rigs in the sea.

We have CTLD with real sling loading as well.

Just seeing maybe if there is a similar element in our mission files that might be causing the issue.

All aircraft

5 x ships (3 cargo) 1 x carrier 1 x CG normandy

Sling loads

Static target ranges x 4 , 3 x moving convoys targets

4 x oil rigs for landing practice

Scripts only MOOSE: respawn and GCICAP

Its not our missions files causing this, it is a new bug introduced in latest 1.5.7

Once I reverted to release from 4 weeks ago it can run for 12hr+ without problem

This needs to be fixed, or my server wont be updating, this is a serious issue. Update us with a debug version with some hooks for better errors we can send you please?

Update: its fine, pretty soon I will have my system up that will socket connect into my external server, the external server will populate the entire map, no extra scripts will be loaded in, this will separate ANY indication that the scripts are to blame. (only script loaded will just sync out unit, static, airbase data and accepts pcall'ed lua commands back, (no other librarys or scripts loaded) have about 3 more weeks left until alpha launch, only way I can mitigate all this instability and crashing thats going on, the entire mission will be stateful. aka keep track of all units and replace them between reboots, so I don't lose all my playerbase due to ridiculous instability) - sorry, I work too hard on this server for this

Seems like all servers that often have the majority of the online playerbase are reporting in with the exact same crashlogs.

Reverting back to previous builds isn't really going to help since a lot of us are hard at working developing missions that help the online DCS community thrive.

I haven't seen my log folder full of crash log files like this before. Anywhere from 3-8 crashes per day, all with the same crashlog report.

Chiming in again in hopes that this issue is acknowledged by the developers.

Additionally, those following the thread; Do any of you have an idea what causes these?

\Weapons.dll ?findTargets@wWeaponSystemManager@@QEAAXXZ()+2AE
\Weapons.dll ?findTargets@wGroupTargetManager@@MEAAXAEAN@Z()+60
Transport.dll ?setOption@wcColumn@@UEAAXIAEBVParameter@@@Z()+1F85

The first two sound like a JTAC thing and maybe the last one is probably some sort of thing that has to do with ground unit formation when underfire or when they re-position.

I do recall a crash issue from a build of 1.5.6 where ground vehicle movement waypoints or something caused a crash, and was actually addressed. We were able to workaround that by removing movement for some of our ground missions. Don't think it's an issue again, but 'Option Column' looks like it has something to do with ground unit organization again.
