"Vergeev Group" campaign demo version

Any updates on this upcoming campaign release?

We're glad to inform the community that final test of Vergeev Group campaign was finished yesterday. All reports from best-testers were received and processed. It means that every mission of two languages was individually tested.

 

 

Now leroni (and me - I will help him with English version) has to conduct author's test of all campaign as a whole. This is 40 missions. One man can test 4-6 mission max. per day as there are main job and other necessary activities. It gives us 7-10 days. We might do it faster but we are afraid that quality will suffer.

 

Within the same period we will get "Internal order of Vergeev Group ХХХХХ military unit" ready which contains instructions and requirements for the player. Some minor design stuff will also be developed.

Please be informed that full test of campaign is 99% over. You can see that on the chart below.

 

 

It took us more time than expected due to rather serious problem with running all 20 missions in a row with game campaign engine - it would stuck at some missions for no obvious reason. It looks like we have found solution (some missions had to be developed from scratch (!) in 1.0.2 version mission editor) but problems are still possible - we put more info about that in ReadMe.

 

ReadMe is ready in Russian here and is now being translated into English - I hope it will appear very soon in this thread as well. We expect only minor amendments to this document in release files.

(i) "Whenever officer orders to land after requesting FOO/FD – roll-out style landing procedure is to be engaged. To do that one must carefully study landing approach procedure in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark pilot manual." means what?

I contact the tower for landing, land on the runway! and taxiing to "my" parking slot?

 

(ii) "Vergeev group campaign missions are edit protected...". What about track-files of a played mission? Can i show up track-files of a vergeev-mission on the forum, can i share track-files with the community?

 

(iii) How much will the Vergeev-Group-Campaign cost?

 

(iv) Will it be offered for download or via CD?

 

(v) What are the overall file-size of the Vergeev-Group-Campaign?

Yes, you should contact tower with standard requests foreseen by simulator engine. If tactical officer asks you to switch to tower - you no doubt should do that - otherwise mission will not be recognized as complete. It will happen in nearly every mission but scores (%) for obeying landing procedure will be given only in last missions (meaning you can't score 100% without correct approach, landing and parking) of this part of VG campaign. However, this will be a rule for all missions in subsequent parts of VG project. 1/10th part is the easiest one.

 

(ii) "Vergeev group campaign missions are edit protected...". What about track-files of a played mission? Can i show up track-files of a vergeev-mission on the forum, can i share track-files with the community?

VG campaign does not modify player's capacity to use DCS: Ka-50 BS. You will be able to share tracks, debriefings and screenshots. It will be difficult only to modify the missions in built-in editor. Of course, one should not share the campaign itself. This is a commercial product. Your payment means support for further project development. The plan is to publish 10 parts (chapters) of campaign 20 missions each. Today we have scenario for 186 missions.

 

(iii) How much will the Vergeev-Group-Campaign cost?

20 missions cost $4. Payment via LiqPAY system (more info at www.liqpay.com). Purchase procedure should not be difficult.

 

(iv) Will it be offered for download or via CD?

You can download missions after payment was conducted. You'll be prompted for e-mail to where you will get the download link.

 

(v) What are the overall file-size of the Vergeev-Group-Campaign?

20 missions take up 45Mb - mostly radiocommunications files plus pictures and instructions (briefings). Totally 306 sound files in the missions (one file can be monologue or dialogue of any length).

This is technical info that recon equipments is using. It is no use for the mission - image is the single important thing - as justification of engaging weapons in the mission.

This is plan of the operation. Part of combat order. The order was coordinated with specialists of recon and combat planning departments. Tactical plan is coordinated with flight plan (FP). This is seen from other maps as well. Keeping to FP and orders is a must! Actions beyond FP will not lead to mission success. In reality pilot will be tried by a military tribunal for unauthorized activities resulting in career finish and long imprisonment sentence. The worst scenario could be lost of combat unit, death of pilot, other officers and soldiets involved into operation. Mission 018 is very difficult if entered without completing previous missions. All missions are expected to be passed in a given order. Objectives might be changing (compared to initial plan) while in air in some missions - this is always warranted by Tactical deparment officer.

Hello, eyusuf. Where do you buy? If you provide me a personal letter to the number of its transactions and e-mail address, which registration during the purchase - I will give you a link to download. This should happen automatically. But there are problems that we have no control. Provide a letter of proof of your purchase, and if they are - find them in the database. You will definitely get a link to download the campaign.
