Russian and English manuals for real life Mi-8/Mi-17

Recommended Posts

Anyone has real life manuals for this/these helis? I remember seeing a link of Mi-17 operations directly from manufacturer's website here in this forum but can't seem to find it.

It is also possible that a link to Russian manual of real life chopper has been posted but I guess I missed that.

Sorry for necroing this thread, however I recently had the same urge to search for manuals about the Mi-17 and I have found two different manuals about it. Since I couldn't find another topic about this, I wanted to share my findings with the rest of the community.

The first manual seems to be the official manual from the Khazan manufacturing plant from 1999, and the second manual seems to be an edited (and sadly incomplete) manual, that was released at a earlier date (around 1993).

First manual:

http://server.3rd-wing.net/public/Manuels%20DCS/Mi-17-1V-Flight-Manual.pdf

Second manual:

http://www.anythingaboutaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Mil-Mi-171-Flight-Manual-Book-1.Stamped.pdf

The second manual is incomplete, and I was unable to find Book 2.

Here is an excerpt of what you will get in Book 1:

The Flight Manual consists of two books

Book 1. Flight Manual proper, comprising the' following

sections:

  • 1. Service Information;
  • 2. General Operational Limitations;
  • 3. Preparation for Flight;
  • 4. Normal Procedures;
  • 4a. Use of Helicopter for Various Kinds of Operations. and under Various Conditions;
  • 5. Abnormal Procedures;
  • 6. Emergencies;
  • 7. Flight Performance;

Book 2. Operation of Helicopter Systems and Equipment,

comprising the following sections:

  • 8. Operation of Helicopter Systems and Equipment;
  • 9. Appendices

.

I hope you will enjoy these documents.

Why are you providing a link to a shoe store?

Maybe in 2013 it pointed to something different ¿?
