Whirlaway
Not sure if this is the right area for this, but here goes. I recently upgraded to a SSD and migrated DCS over. Everything seems to be fine except, now, when I try to access mission from the game, I get a loading screen with a never ending hourglass. I seem to be able to access everything but the actual missions. Oddly enough, campaigns seem to work fine. Anyone have an idea what could be going on? Thanks. streakeagle
I have no idea why you are having this type of problem. Migration to SSD dramatically reduced my loading times. Well worth the effort. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Well worth the effort. I get the hourglass and loading screen (which I never even remember getting after clicking missions before) and it just stays there..forever. I have to close the game. Whirlaway
You went from HD to SSD, and you installed windows on your new SSD? I mirrored it. Everything else seems to be working fine. Can't understand why this one part of one game just refuses to load...
Art-J
In 1.5.7 removing settings.lua file from Mission Editor folder (the one in Saved Games on the system drive) was enough to fix this recent bug. Some stumbled upon it in 2.1.1 as well though, and that quick "fix" doesn't alway work there. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10. Johnny_Rico
define mirrored it, be aware that an SSD does need correct partition alignment to run at its best HD have no such issues, does the software you used to mirror it handle that for you ? hansangb
Is it possible that there is an activation window lurking in the background? If you look in the ../bin/*aircraft* folders, there is an activation EXE that you can run. There is an FAQ on DCS support site that explains it. It may be worth checking to make sure that all air crafts are activated from the CLI tool. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

I think so. I used the Samsung Magician software. Seemed pretty straightforward. This seems to be the only software that has any problems and it seems to be a bizarrely specific and isolated issue. I'd really love to figure it out as right now, I can only play campaigns or quick missions :(
