Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50

Someone already mentioned VR, and accordingly to it would be good to have switches (which are in a row next to each other) at the touch of feel something different, or that they may be placed on top some rubber/plastic caps - declutter.

Hey Cyph3r. Are the units shipping from the UK? Can you give any estimate of shipping or customs costs (if applicable)?

I'd like to see, as high priority:

1. Afterburner detents

2. Lift idle/cutoff

3. Ministick, like on CH throttle but centers nicely!

Lower priority:

1. Throttle friction adjust

Looks really nice, can't wait to see pre-orders. :)

Force feedback by mercury and magnets :joystick:

mouse like the x52 or mini trackball will be nice.

a twist axis on the throttle will be nice

the support system will have the ability to add more controls....(is part of a total mount system?)

Backlights, maybe with a toggle on and off, on left side or front perhaps?

Labeling panels, it looks like you have them on there.

How far is the travel on the throttle? looks shorter than the warthog. Not that it's a criticism, just wondering.

It looks amazing though, I can't wait to see the final product!

As that a mini-stick at the front of the throttle?

Looks nice - can't comment too much on what I want on the base, as I like as many buttons as possible at my fingertips.

It does look promising, though, looking forward to it's release. I may have to hold out for that one.

Lift cutoff idle detent for me.

None of that... go with finger lifts! I don't know of any jets with throttles shaped as shown that are lifted over gates. The F-16 does that, but it's hinged rather than lifted. Finger lifts are much more ergonomic

I certainly wouldnt argue either way but its a lot easier to buiild it with a lift gate and works.T-38 had finger lifts but only because they didnt trust us to not lift the throttle through the gate by accident :)

On the flight stick does the 1st trigger (grey one) register as seperate buttons in the up and down position ?

Would be usefull for flipping up the large trigger on the KA50

The folding trigger doesn't register as a separate button in the up position.

2 - Throttles

1 - "Antena"

2 - "TDC"

1 - "T" lever on right side

2 - "Rotaries".

 

The other 2 knobs are encoder.

 

Is said in IL-2 forum that lilac square buttons caps are removable, but not backlight.

I'm seconding this. I kept my x65f throttle and only got a Warthog flight stick because the rotaries are very convenient when flying other planes that the A-10

Quick question. Can you verify that existing Warthog Extensions will work with the grip and also I would assume the base as well. I cannot imagine a reason an extension that works currently on a WTH would not work with Virpil as well from all appearances. However perhaps you could validate that.

Looks like an amazing stick. Pre ordered. The base looks very good and hopefully it will feel great too. Looking to switch the grip between that and my modded ms ffb2

i will use it with different hotas (ch fighter + ch thorttle and cobra m5 + ch throttle)

so i must be sure this set up would work with my hotas systems.

The VPC MongoosT-50 grip with our TMW adapter should work no problem with existing TMW extensions.

The TM Warthog mounting plates for the VPC Desk Mount are tailored specifically for the TM Warthog, so I don't believe they would be suitable for your setup unfortunately! Hopefully within the next couple of days I will be able to post the photos of the finished adapter plates.
