Seems that StarVR might release a new consumer headset.

Yeah, the wording ”we made something for you” kind of implies ”for the masses”.
I’m excited to see what it is.

Article at Road to VR

"StarVR Teases New Version of Its High-end VR Headset to be Revealed Next Week"
Seems to be more of the upper end commercial market.

"StarVR is a high-end headset made for out-of-home use like VR arcades and attractions"

Of course, I'd assume they'd sell to anyone, but I'm thinking it's going to be pricey, but, even so,...

Yes, StarVR produced a VR headset for high end commercial users. Pricey as well. No doubt about that.

But it’s the wording ”for you”, on an open website, that is intriguing. Why that particular choice of words..?

I hope it's for consumer use. That would be awesome. Their commercial sets are pretty sweet.

That add is pretty cryptic though

A bit early to find out for sure, but signs over the past few days have been pointing to an enterprise hmd with eye tracking. If so, why the misleading teaser?

Minimum System Requirements

Operating system
Windows® 10 64bits
Processor
Intel® core™ i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X
Graphics
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX1080
Memory
16GB

Lol...no way this thing will ever work in DCS with current gear. Even the new to come GTX (RTX) 2080 will be enough to manage this thing!

But it's good to see that VR is still improving! Keep the HMDs coming

Pimax should be worried. Delay after delay.

This is, what the homepage of StarVR says:
Quote:
StarVR Corporation is dedicated to the innovation of professional virtual reality solutions, with a focus on high-end enterprise applications and location-based entertainment.
If they produce the StarVR One only for professional use and arcade, there is no reason for Pimax to be too much worried at the moment.
