Conscious that not everyone who goes to the Virpil website will have read this thread. crab
I see the pictures on the site show a significantly changed throttle when compared to the one in the OP. What's the story on the mode switch?

crab
Thanks for that but I didn't see anything discussing the 5 mode selector switch unless the LEDs are switched there and 2 positions left unused.

Sokol1_br
Mode switch is probable for buttons/HAT's layers. LED color seems controlled in firmware. - The main LED modes are Red, Green and combined for the final mode. We would like to hear from the community how you would like the LEDs to operate (and controlled) so that we can make the firmware accordingly. crab
Exactly what I'm trying to figure out, if those change mapping (per mode) this is a whole different beast. If those modes include the stick it becomes quite the tasty morsel, if it's just a label on a 5 way switch things didn't get so interesting after all. tintifaxl
I am on the fence. If it had the ministick, I would have pre-ordered it already. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
Len62
I can't find the pic now showing the embossed diamond pattern that the throttle handles now have. Someone from virpil, probably cyph3r, commented that they had limited smooth throttle handles and you could e-mail virpil to request those if you had pre-ordered. Dang, I hate when I cannot find something. Found it, on their facebook page.
crab
@Cyph3r any consent on the 5 position mode selector? I've confirmed it's per mode mapping but not whether the stick is also per mode. I've got an email in; if they respond I'll post up. Edited June 1, 2018 by crab
tintifaxl
I really hope the selector is just 5 DX buttons. I’d want to use it to switch radios in DCS and the decoders for the dials. crab
I found a quote from them saying it can have 5 mappings on each switch and hat; you have to figure the 5 position mode switch controls that. No confirmation from them yet in response to my email.
cordite
I am on the fence. If it had the ministick, I would have pre-ordered it already. It says "1 x 4-way + Push Hat or 1 x Analogue Mini-stick" I take it you can't specify which, and only the former is currently in production?
