UVOD/Ground Collision Avoidance Mode

Anyone got this working as intended? The newsletter says it is a mode used for safe nap-of-earth flying, but all it does right now is just pull up and fly at safe altitudes. It's there a way to make it do nap-of-earth flying or is it a bug?

Probably working as intended. I think it's a terrain avoidance system as opposed to a full terrain following system. So, when it detects the ground at an unsafe altitude it'll pull up but then will not fly down again after the obstacle has been passed.

System Spec: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P Black Edition case. | AMD 5950X CPU | MSI RTX-3090 GPU | 32GB HyperX Predator PC4000 RAM | | TM Warthog stick & throttle | TrackIR 5 | Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 4 SSD 1TB (boot) | Samsung 870 QVO SSD 4TB (games) | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

Personal wish list: DCS: Su-27SM & DCS: Avro Vulcan.

Hm. But why then advertise NOE flying with it?

I assumed it´s mainly meant for not only rough terrain, but water primarily...setting a "safe" 30m radar alt and cruising along the waterline...But I am unsure. I wonder if we will hear about it in a patchnote.

GCI: "Control to SEAD: Enemy SAM site 190 for 30, cleared to engage"

Striker: "Copy, say Altitude?"

GCI: "....Deck....it´s a SAM site..."

Striker: "Oh...."

Fighter: "Yeah, those pesky russian build, baloon based SAMs."

Its just a way to help low flying. I guess there is a speed limit in using it, and also, many things affect it as can be read from this low quality evidence. I'd think its better suited to helicopters.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

TFR can do 200ft at high mach numbers no problem since the 80s.

If the su33 can use its radar as TFR is questionable. No matter what, the uvod mode is not working at all, I mean you can fly at 4000m over the water heading out to the sea, and it will pull you up.

*unexpected flight behaviour* Oh shiii*** ! What ? Why ? What is happening ?
