schurem Posted December 7, 2018 Share Posted December 7, 2018 Hi guys, Let me start of this by far my favourite DCS experience so far. I have learned a ton about the MiG-15, radio nav and all kinds of archaic aviation things. Lately however I have been getting frustrated banging my head against a problem: After a big push, some helicopter crew needs rescue. So the player gets to escort a helicopter rescue op. Cool beens, start it up, fly up there, shoot up some fools. Then it happens. The script yells "watch out missile!" and BANG the engines' out. Now I've tried gliding it in a couple times. Plane went FOOM on touchdown. I tried ejecting, but that did not progress the campaign. I take it a field landing is the intended outcome. So how in hades do I do that without blowing up on contact?! You'd be correct, time to belly the plane in :) Here's a checklist I made to help with getting the plane ready for the forced landing. http://i.imgur.com/plzalod.jpg After it's configured, just try and make the softest landing you possibly can, and you should be alright.
